buffy is ok but i like angel better angel is the best tv series of all time i just bought the first 4 seasons.im thinking about buying the buffy seasons aswell but ive only seen a couple of episodes from season 1 and wasnt very impressed maybe it gets better in the 2nd season maybe someone here can give me some advice

I lurve BtVS, but it finished here ages ago 🙁 I have it all on DVD and still watch them all! LOL My favourite episode was the musical "Once More With Feeling", it was awesome!! 😮💨 Oh! By the way sk8erpunkbarbie was right !! Sorry Syren but James Marsters was born on Aug 20 1962, he will be 44 this year. But he's still damn hot!!
I've been marathoning Buffy from the beginning lately on Netflix. Such an awesome show. Even today, it still blows away most other shows. All the main characters here actually have enjoyable personalities, and the villains are awesome.
These days, we're stuck with characters like Felicity in Arrow. It blows. Its a shame we'll never see a continuation of this or Angel. Its been more than a decade. 🙁

Eh, not exactly. Some of the villains were sub par. Look at Angelus. He was interesting at first until they started to have him acting retarded. The guy was sneaking into Buffy's house and instead of murdering her he was leaving her drawings. The excuse? Oh he wanted to mess with her.
Don't even get me started on what he did to Willow..ohh no he killed your fish! What an epic evil vampire. I'm sure murdering her parents and burning her house down would of sent a better message.
Or what about what they did to Spike? He was cool until they turned him into a p*ssy whipped vampire. They don't even keep him consistent. At the end of season 2 he wants to stop Angel from destroying the world because he likes the world. But then just a few weeks earlier Spike was going to let the Judge destroy the world. These are your great villains? Just like The Master..some of them kind of seemed like morons.
Also remember for Angel and Spike they quite literally knew where both of them lived and still they never decide to put a stake in either of them because..reasons. Also don't give me the whole "Buffy was in love with Angel". The second he killed Miss Calendar he should of been staked. The second Spike showed up with a chip in his head he should of been staked.
Don't get me wrong I love Buffy and Angel, but it had its flaws.

Yeah, Angel was the more consistent of the two series. To me Wesley's story and character arc was probably the best thing in the whole Buffyverse given his origins as comic relief on Buffy and his arc being integral to what made Angel so good. He went from Jar Jar Giles to John Constantine Lite. When he died in the series finale of Angel I legit was pissed. His death hit me way harder than Tara's (though I really liked Tara and that sh*t was tragic given the fresh reconciliation between her and Willow) or Buffy's Mom. Wesley went from someone you legit despised and wondered why his character was even introduced to being one of the premiere heroes of either show. I think it also helped that Angel had primary villains in the Wolfram and Hart Firm and the Senior Partners throughout the series. It helped considerably with storytelling.
