I have no idea why Marius is painting in the sunlight, to know that, I would have to see the movie again, and that's is something I WON'T! 😄 but basing my opinion on books, I would say Marius' is able to expose himself to the sun without major damage due to his many years old...

unless is told different in 'Blood Canticle'...

no matter HOW old Marius is,he can't possibly be strong enough to withstand the sun,the only vampire who could do that was Akasha (and Enkil of course).even Lestat couldn't!!he felt such agonizing pain in the gobi desert in Memnoch,and he's waaay stronger than Maruis cuz he's got grreeaaaat amounts of Akasha's blood.
so.Lestat felt such great pain he couldn't even think,so how could Marius be level headed enough to actually paint in the sunlight?

And Maharet isn't actually Jesse's aunt,that's her cover.she's actually the family's great-great-great-great (add in a few more thousand "great"s) granmother...it's all in the tale of the Twin Sisters in the Queen of the Damned book.

armand was this blond, weird lookin' dude in queen of the damned. i thoguht it was a woman at first...quite confusing until he spoke! 😱 😆 😖 🐰

Does anyone else hate the movie Queen of the Damned? It totally ruined the book!

Akasha couldn't walk in sunlight, Marius is Armand's maker, not Lestat's, Armand is a red-haired, brown eyed Russian whom is 17 and fairly short cuz he's OVER 500! (and my fav. vampire...), Jesse and Lestat don't like each other, so they couldn't have 'fallen in love', 'sides, Lestat is in love with Rowen Mayfair. URG!

The entire movie was completely off, and it basically centered itself around The Vampire Lestat, and not Queen of the Damned.

This has been driving me nuts for awhile, so I needed to vent. Sorry.

i can't see why some people thought that the white make up in the queen of the damned looked good! >,<

Akasha was actually supposed to look like a statue with real eyes... Lestat feaked out the first time he saw her. He did play a violin for her, but it was Niki's violin, which he later smashed on the ground.

If you have READ The Vampire Lestat, then you know that Niki (Nickolas) was a man and he was Lestat's second lover. Yes, our favorite vampire is bisexual. Is that a problem?

And by the way, while we're on the topic, when a person becomes a vampire, they are truly dead, so they no longer have carnal urges, you knwo, sexual needs? They are DEAD, not LIVING. This was decreed by Anee Rice in Book 1, Interview with the Vampire (where Louis complains for about 300 pages...)

in anne rice's books almost everybody is bisexual 😄 (mainly men) and it is not a problem (at least for me)

yes you are right they cannot have sex and they dont wanna, either but they can fall in love and thats why the genders dont really matter for them.

and yess the movie is totally different from the book but we shouldnt be mad at that... i think everyone should see it as a story or rather a FANFIC about qotd the book....so it is NOT the book but a story with the characters or sth like that.

omg, i know! so much slash tension between all of the male characters in interview with the vampire, my gosh! 😱 😘 😆 esp. between lestat and louis or louis and armand. some of the fics that i have seen for vc, they have been mostly louis and lestat. read one. not bad. 😆 damn, slash fanfiction! 😆

hehe yes and it is present in every book 😄 i havent read the vampire armand but i heard that this is the book which probably contains the most slash

😂 i've been venting for YEARS now trust me i know how you feel.
and i;ve always thought the bisexualism in Lestat esp makes him even hotter droolio and you're partially right in the fact that they no longer have canal urges.they do,only in a different way - this time it's associated with the senses,the passing of blood, and the urge to know what the other's life,dreams,hopes,fears,pain,etc. is like.assuming you know the basic fact that that's what the Blood does too 😊 which of course you do,considering the fact that you're one of the people who can tell that QOTD sucks big time cuz it's so unfaithful.
THEY EVEN TOTALLY LEFT OUT THE TALE OF THE TWIN SISTERS that's what maddens me the most.the rest are small details which can be forgiven,taking practical needs such as money,film,actors,etc. into consideration...but THE TWIN SISTERS TALE IS THE WHOLE FREAKIN PLOT for goodness' sake!!!!!!!!!!!!😠😠

ranting I know! I don't really like Mekare OR Maharet, but the entire book was based on their hatred of Akasha. Basically the whole thing took place in the stroy Maharet told the other vampires. Just what is wrong with movies and destroying things? 😠 😠 should be furious.

Lestat could say he was flat out gay and he'd still be hot! onestly, though, I like Armand just a tiny bit more. No idea why. Maybe it's the I'm-a-mystious-killer mystique or the sad-angel cuteness. *shrug* Either way jump

And you were right, they do have a form of carnal pleasure...

What really bothers me is that Lestat fell in love with Rowan Mayfair. And Anne Rice never told us what happened during the five years he slept! I wanna know what the angels did to him!
