hmmm....hope you don't mind me joining in.
my fave character would have to be the damnedest creature alive: Lestat de Lioncourt!
i have just finished with Blackwood Farm, an interweaving of Anne rince's Vampire Chronicles and Mayfair Witches lore. it was an interesting read, seeing Lestat through the eyes of a fledgling...
My fave book(s) are The Vampire Lestat and Queen of the Damned...
Anyone read Vittorio yet? couldn't find a copy, but that will end soon. how is it?
after seeing the movie version of "interview with the vampire", i just had to read the book. it's truly wonderful so far. can't wait to read more of this series and eventually see "queen of the damned". the director did such a great job with the movie. although tom cruise did look a bit funnie as a vampire. ^.^
i just started to read memnoch...omg i soooo love these books....how can this woman write so well???
bLooMiLiCioUs: i'll help u to keep this thread alive 😊
im afraid that i'll never read blood canticles cuz here (in hungary) only IvtW and the vampire lestat and QotD are available and the others are supposed to come out someday but i think that stupid publisher doesnt really seem to wanna publish them 😠
but i could download them (except b.c. and the blackwood farm) in english from net so i can read them... but i cant read these two 🙁🙁🙁
i wanna read them too *sob*

hehe QotD movie is very very different from the book. actually hardly any scenes are the same 😂
buuuut i just love the movie and the book too 8) (hehehe vampy doesnt agree with me 😈 )
but maybe cuz i had seen the movie before i read the book so i wasnt disappointed in the changes 8) and then the book was even more awesome 😊
yeah tom cruise was quite funny as lestat 😄
but i just love the scene when he is pelting louis with grapes or what 😂 hilarious 😄

i heard that it wasn't very good. was the acting any good?
who directed qotd and wrote the script? couldn't be the same people and crew as for interview with the vampire. i hope.
i have the book, but haven't seen the movie. read a bit of this one before i ever saw interview and read the book. good from what i've read, but didn't dig vamps much until later with interivew and van helsing and buffy/angel stuff.
when i said tom looked funny, i mean he didn't seem to look natural for him like it did for brad pitt. pelting grapes?! 🤨 i don't recall that....was that in the movie or book? 😑

i know what you meant 😉 and i agree with you ✅
it was in the movie but when i saw the movie first i didnt notice it either so its not an important scene at all or sth its just a lil' thing. i think it happens when lestat and louis are talking in louis' house and lestat asks louis to go to france (but im not sure 🤨 )
heheh i said vampy wouldnt agree with me 😊 😂
hmmm i dont know who was the director but i'll try to find it

oh oh oh! 😱 now i remember the scene! it was where lestat and louis were at point du lac pretending to eat in the dining room. louis was brooding and lestat threw a grape to get louis's attention and try to get him to drink blood. then telling him about when he should drink animal blood, for example, rat blood.
thanks, elanor! 😄
