Also, I finally watched "Happiness", after the numerous recommendations by my fellow KMC'ers. It really is a funny and equally disturbing flick. I thought that the scene when Dr. Maplewood confesses to his son, Billy, about his pedophelia was kinda disturbing.
Yes! That scene is amazing. It's the most uncomfortable I've ever felt during a scene in a movie. It's disturbing but also very heartbreaking.

I enjoyed the movie so much I bought the DVD. The end scene when little Billy finally, uh, "becomes a man" and the dog laps up had me rolling!
The end of Taxi Driver always makes me feel shaky, no matter how many times I see it. It's the part after the violence that's the really disturbing part for me, although the depiction of extreme pain and desperate fury by the actor whose fingers Travis blows off, just horrible. I feel like I'm watching an animal in it's death throes.
