GIMLI

No one else can defeat the absoloute coolness that is GIMLI except for maybe GIMLI dressed up as Super Mario.

I know very few people agree with me, but John Rhys Davies (The talented man who plays Gimli) is just too cool for hollywood.

i think aragorn is a cool character too

well of course, this reminds me of a project I did for english "why is heros so imortant"

I concluded that it always seemed to be the "main" character/s type that seemed to be the ultimate hero

I also really like Gimli. He's cool... sad that he was always made fun of after the film 🙁 I mean, sure, he's also cool in the film, but it's always him responsible for the stupid jokes 😬

The only problem I have with him is the fact that I have no idea what his name means 🙄 😛

Well, Gimli is one of the few dwarves whose names aren't those of dwarves from the Elder Edda;
Maybe it's derived from the Archaic Norse word "gim", meaning "fire"?

There is also a "Gimli" in the Elder Edda, though it's not a dwarf but a hall... ("hall of the blessed"😉, located in a heaven called "Andlang", above Asgard, a golden-roofed building, brighter than the sun 😄 doesnt really sound like related to lotr-Gimli 😉

I like Saruman and Wormtongue, especially when they are together.

My favorites out of the book are Gollum and Èomer...

Saruman is a great character, sure genius....he is the "true" villian.

but I absolutly hate Wormtongue for some reason, the scenes in TTT at the start with him and Eomar/Eowyn was just depressing for me

I don't know why, but I always liked either Sauron, or the Witch-king.
