Wizord of Oz
Well pretty much anything with Gene Kelly and Fred Astair (sp)
A movie with Sinatra, they're sailors and I believe its called New York.
I think the title you are looking for is Anchors Aweigh (1945) as i can't ever recall Frank Sinartra doing a film called New York.
Probably My Fair Lady, Joseph, The Sound of Music, many Gilbert & Sullivans [such as Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado, etc].
My all-time favorite will probably always be Les Miserables, though I guess it hasn't been in film form as a musical. Not the tap-dance your cares away sort of musical - quite serious, nearly everyone dies, but very moving and full of universal characters.
Looking back, it really is kind of disturbing that, at 8 years old, I knew almost all the words, including those to the whore songs... 😮 Wasn't allowed to SAY a lot of these words, but I still KNEW them... 😉
