Men I had a chance to see Chicago but couldn't convince anyone to come with me 😖 I would have loved to have seen that one.

It's already available on DVD check out IMDB

Chicago the play. Not the movie. I don't have a DVD!I know its sad!

The beat one's are Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and The Sound Of Music.

My Fair Lady is great too.

I guess that there aren't many Rocky Horror Fans. That's the musical of all musicals.

I really adore musicals. I tried out for every school musical and got a lead once! Kim in Bye Bye Birdie

Rocky Horror rocks 🤘

*does Time Warp* 💃 💃

I think the title you are looking for is Anchors Aweigh (1945) as i can't ever recall Frank Sinartra doing a film called New York.

Ah cool be. They sing some song about New York thou.

Yep most likely as the film is a tribute to New York, it was also the first Hollywood film to be filmed on location.

I don't know that many musicals but my my favorite musical is Moulin Rouge.

Probably My Fair Lady, Joseph, The Sound of Music, many Gilbert & Sullivans [such as Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado, etc].

My all-time favorite will probably always be Les Miserables, though I guess it hasn't been in film form as a musical. Not the tap-dance your cares away sort of musical - quite serious, nearly everyone dies, but very moving and full of universal characters.

Looking back, it really is kind of disturbing that, at 8 years old, I knew almost all the words, including those to the whore songs... 😮 Wasn't allowed to SAY a lot of these words, but I still KNEW them... 😉
