For those Halo fans who don't read the novels, there are three other Spartans that come to Earth, other than the Master Chief. They are:
Linda-The sniper. The lone wolf. In my imagination, she looks like Kerrigan(before infested) in the original Starcraft.
Fred-Less hardcore version of John(Master Chief)
Will-Less hardcore version of Master Chief.
The others were killed, en route the way to Earth.
Isaac + Vinh: Captured by covenant, probably tortured and ripped apart.
Grace: Knack for explosives. Ironically, she was blown apart by Brute weapons. Temper nonexistant(Ironically).
Anton:The unit's best scout. Unique habit of looking left and right often. Gets vaporized by a Covenant ship.
Li-The zero gravity combat specialist. Dies the same way as Anton.

Well apparently it works since it's the biggest online service for consoles, and IMO, is much better than multiplayer on PC.

How do you figure?
-Xbox Live costs money to play the same games you can play for free over the internet on a PC. (Halo, Counterstrike, etc)
-Xbox Live has those little headsets and you have to listen to dumbasses talk while you play the game.
The only thing good about Xbox Live is that there aren't cheaters running rampant, but give that a few years...

I bought the holdiay package x-box, so i have 3 months of live(or is it weeks) so if I like Halo 2 enough(which i will) then im gonna get live. I mean where else am I gonna be able to hold 16 player halo death matches on a continual basis. lan parties arent the easiest htings to hold ya know`.

if you had given this more thought, then you also would have realised you could also be chatting with your friends. nothin provides greater laughs than when you frag a friend...with a plasma...on the head..while hes in the tank.
