Sirius will seriously, definitely be BACK!

Thats a cool idea about the mirror, i always wondered what that could be there for, i doubt JKR would have put it in the story just for harry to forget about and break at the end of the book, it has to have a more significant part in the storys comming up............

She has already admitted that it ill be more important in the next books xx

I just wondered what your theories on what the mirror is for? (since sirus is dead now, could it be as sugessted before (sorry cant remeber by who) that it will have sirius's memory?)

yeah, but in jk's interview she answered a question "why did harry have to forget about the mirror?" like this:
"the mirror might not have helped as much as you think but it might help more than you expect"
or something like that. i was trying to find it real quick, but couldn't. it's somewhere on her website, i believe in the edinburgh book festival interview.
she basically made it clear the mirror will become important again.

yeah....and even though that memory idea sounds possible, i just don't know about that. it's already been done (not that means it can't happen again, just doesn't seem as likely). plus, i know there are plenty of reasons why sirius could have put his memory in that mirror, but i also doubt that he would have. i know, i know, i don't have any good reasons as to why it wouldn't happen.....and if it does happen you're all just gonna laugh at me 🙂. but it makes it more interesting when poeple have different opinions, doesn't it?
anyway, i guess i just want it to be something new....something noone would have guessed, the connection with the mirror.

Hm... but Kreacher hated Sirius, and Kreacher only seemed to drag off stuff from the people the he adored (like Sirius' mother, ect.) But wouldn't it be interesting if she gave Voldemort a mirror too?

yeah, i kinda meant, since kreacher has already had contact with voldemort, he might be assisting him now by trying to bring him useful things. now he doesn't even have a master anymore (unless the house and all falls to harry or whatever twist is gonna come up)

Why did Harry have to forget the mirror he had been given by Sirius in 'Order of the Phoenix'?
I can’t give a full answer to this, because it is relevant to books six and seven. However, the short answer is that Harry was determined never to use the mirror, as is clearly stated in chapter 24: ‘he knew he would never use whatever it was’. For once in Harry’s life, he does not succumb to curiosity, he hides the mirror and the temptation away from himself, and then, when it might have been useful, he has forgotten it.

The mirror might not have helped as much as you think, but on the other hand, will help more than you think. You’ll have to read the final books to understand that!

And even tho it was an interesting thought...i rather doubt there are more mirrors. 😛 cuz obviously something is going to happen with the one we already have! 🙂

yup! totally agree! thinking along the same lines on this one 🙂. i couldn't find that question the day i was looking for it (cause i was looking in the wrong place and didn't feel like spending too much time on searching her site) so i just put down what i remembered reading towards the middle of this thread. this is a very important statement and a big clue from jk...
do you have any theories as to what will happen with harry's or sirius' mirror?

theories...well...i don't know, i have some pretty far fetched ones 😛 I kinka feel like this is another one of those things that falls into the "you'll never be able to guess this one" category..if you know what i mean 😉 I think it could definately be a tool that harry uses to contact Sirius again...but on the same token, that answer is very obvious...and therefore very non-JK...
