Because 'bombadded' clearly means destroyed and 'bombad general' is just one letter away from bombard general (though as Jar-Jar dsid not appear to be in charge of any big guns, it probably just means 'general responsbile for blowing things up'😉.
Kids were meant to b able to get the gist of this; it really isn't complex. 'Bombadding' is gjust a general term for destruction.
