It was a zippo style lighter which contains a flammable fluid. It would be more likely in there minds that the fluid leaked and ignited than the kid having Mutant abilities. He was laughing because he didn't want to let the guy use his zippo and then it ended up catching him on fire. Ever see footage of gas pumps or lighters igniting from a static spark... I know I have.

Zippo lighters are known to leak... the liquid is flamable... a spark any size would ignite the fumes (which tend to cling to fabric). The reason they have a warning on zippo lighters is because several times a year someone will light there clothes on fire because of zippo leaks.
ye see its his cigarette that went on flames... every cigarette has the possibility to burst out in flames cuz cigs may contain a small amount of this substance that triggers fire.. try lighting a cig and blow an air through it... the fire from yer lighter will kinda grow... try it if youre a smoker

I'm not a smoker; and it's truth that it will make a flame bigger; but it couldn't go bigger just like that; it needed some kind of a draft to become bigger; and since no one was blowing in his cig; and since there wasn't any wind since they were in a closed museum; it means that it was kinda obvious that it was some sort of unnatural force that burned thaz a*shole; right in a time when Pyro was mad on him. If I was that guy I would think that Pyro made the flames bigger.
yeah, pyro can manipulate any amounto of flame, which included the burning end of the cigarette, which pyro did shoot over onto the guy's arm, cuz he is like magneto and thinks humans are puny compared to mutants, which in most cases thats the truth, but like xavier there is no reason to go around fighting, if i was a human and i met a mutant, i would be curious, i would want to know what all the mutant could do! i think it would really cool.
