No, he was not the heir of Gondor. Dunno why everybody thinks so. He was the heir of the kings of the Lost Realm of Arnor, but the first "real" king of Arnor, Isildur, was the brother of the king of Gondor, AnΓ‘rion (it's a bit confusing because for some years Isildur also ruled Gondor and their father was king in both kingdoms together with his sons);
When the last of the kings of Arnor died on his flight from the broken Arnor (witchy's armies took it πŸ˜„ ) in a sinking ship, his son became the Lord over the remaining people - they werent many and had no real cities or something, but lived in the woods and raised their children in Rivendell, which lies in Rhudaur, a part of Arnor. Aragorn now is the son of Arathorn and Gilraen, but his father died when Aragorn was only two years old πŸ™ πŸ™
So he left Rivendell some time after his meeting with Arwen to hunt (orcs and animals πŸ˜› ) in the woods and protect the remaining people living there.

But why must you always be so complicated?!?! Stole my glory, *huffs*

I'm just keeping to the facts, and those are complicated

stole your glory? but no ❌

You are both experts!

yeah... πŸ™‚ and isn't great that Aragorn was serving Ecthelion (Father of Denethor) in Minas Tirith? and also Thengel in Rohan?! he knew ThΓ©oden when he was a little child, and he was 1 year younger than Denethor, Aragorn was know as Thorongil in Gondor and was a great warrior, Ecthelion loved him and Denethor was a little jealous! πŸ˜› I was a little sad when I learned that after that great Victory with the Corsairs all the people in Gondor were waiting for him to celebrate and to receive him with great honors, he never came back, he said goodbye to his companions in Pelargir and left, Ecthelion was very sad...

He also captured gollum and took him to King Thranduil, Legolas father...

WOW ARagorn's life is a great and interesting story! πŸ’ƒ
