I would say Batman because he's more tech advanced, and on the list of greatest hand-to-hand combatants in DC universe He is third only to Batgirl, and Lady Shiva. However, Blade is a martial artist nonetheless, and he has a few gadgets too.But the fact that he has the strength of a vapire, he would probably win

People say that because Batgirl beat Lady Shiva, who is (or was) often considered to be the greatest martial artist in the DCU. Of course, that doesn't really mean that she's a better martial artist, in my opinion; just that she had a good fights (and I'm not certain, but I think that Batman at least knocked Lady Shiva down in a recent Batman/Superman comic).

I'd say Batman hands down. Firstly, he looks cooler and acts cooler. Blade seems a big more all-out action, while Batman is more stealthy and has a cool host of gadgets, like a small batarang that paralizes whoever it hits. Batman could use it to paralize Blade, and then use his rope to tie him up and take him to the cops. Blade is cool, but Batman would win hands down.
Lady Shiva is hands down the best martial artist in the DC Universe, it has been stated on many occasions. The only one who could even come close to her skill level would be Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke: The Terminator. It's true that the new Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) is the only known person to have ever defeated Shiva, but that was in part due to luck but even moreso bad writing. Even still, being raised and trained by Cain himself, it's likely that purely in fighting ability Batman would be second to Batgirl. However, in response to the original question, as Batman is the greatest detective ever, he would kick most anyone's ass including Blade because well...he's smarter.
In Batgirl #1 it recounts the story of her upbringing, as told by Batman. At one point a guy basically enters her mind in an effort to help her speak. He succeeds, but unfortunately in doing so, she forgets the language she was originally taught; the ability to read body language. Afterwhich she doubted her ability to be Batgirl anymore and decided to turn in the costume. Later she meets Shiva who promptly beats the piss out of her. Cassandra makes a deal with Shiva to train under her so as to return to her former glory under the condition that in one year they must meet again in a fight to the death (Shiva has this complex with being the best, and basically goes around the world killing all the best martial artists who rival her, she figures that even if she loses it will still further the process of distinguishing the best martial artist). The story later tells of the battle and how Batgirl defeats Shiva (though it's more of a synopsis, not a play by play, which is why I was upset at the writing). They don't explain the manner of her defeat, whether it be throwing the match because she didn't want to kill her student or what, but Batgirl opts not to kill Shiva and that's pretty much it. So now Batgirl can speak and is an uber martial artist. Hooray.
I'd have to say it would depend on circumstances............ Do they know eachother? Blade looks pretty normal and if Bats thought he was the run of the mill thug, he'd get his cowl handed to him.
BUT...........If they knew eachother and had time to prepare, i'd have to give it to Batman afterall, the man beat Dracula.
