He doesn't like dealing with magical issues because it makes him uncomfortable. He likes dealing with tech.
On a scale of 1 to 10 of magicalness with 1 being a baseline human and 10 being the Spectre, Blade is like a 2 or 3.
His discomfort with Magic didn't stop him from trying to batkick the Spectre.

LOL if you say so.Context?
Spectre shows up in Gotham. Batman disapproves of the Spectre trying to muscle in on his turf. Batman tries to kick Spectre. Spectre actually pretends to be hurt so as not to hurt Batman's feelings (no really).
That's the context. If Batman isn't afraid to kick God's Avenging Angel in the face, he won't be afraid to tangle with a quasi-Dhampir.

What? The origin of Blade's powers might be semi-mystical in nature, but if he's not disappearing into clouds of smoke and bats and not shooting fire from his hands its not going to fluster Batman at all.
His equipment. He had a sword that pawned a duke of hell and an expert in science couldn't understand some of his equipment.

The point is it doesn't prove his competence in areas of magic that just proves hes brave.

Perhaps not, but your original point made no mention of his competence with dealing with it, only his comfort with dealing with it.

Was this expert Batman level or greater?
Can't say for sure, but I doubt he's inferior. He used to be a golden age character but his recent feats are quite impressive eg going back in time to give birth to himself.

He was uncomfortable because he didn't like dealing with it. Superman stated the JLA needed a magic expert, Aquaman cut in and volunteered. Batman stated that he was fine with it ( his tone was "**** that shit let him handle it I don't want nothing to do with it"😉, Batman is a control freak if he felt that he could do better he would have. Also none of his counter measures utilised magic.
