To be fair to that list, BurningThought does support his arguments now, and some of them have been accepted, such as Kain's strength. But most of his other arguments are complete batshit.
I am both proud and laughing at a statement like this.
He asked me to help him with that stuff. Something EvilAngel wishes I would have never done. 🙁 I was the one that put it into his head that you might be able to argue objectively about some feats. uhuh

That mother ****er is awesome. Even when we argue together, I still think he's awesome.

He's pretty much 100% correct, at this point. However, I think my post was made in jest: the point he made was obviously true or something and I was being an ***hole. Don't remember the context.
I will hand deliver that bottle of expensive alcohol, however. Where does that ****er live?
King Kandy made a smart remark over how there was a Bijuu in the moon when Nagato mentioned the Sage made it. This guy took it as fact and formed that theory. Then entered your remark.
I dunno where he lives though. Message him and ask. 😮
Hmm....I'm considering writing reviews over manga arcs. Apparently writing reviews of things make you smarter, which is always helpful.
So....lets try this reviewing thing out, by talking about the early arcs of Naruto. Thankfully, unlike Bleach and One Piece, Naruto really only has one early arc(Land of Waves of course) so it's easy to get through. But I'm reviewing the earlier chapters as well, including the Konohamaru story, the bell test, etc. Officially, I stopped at chapter 34, since that's the start of the next arc.
With an early arc, one can expect a few things. We need to be introduced to our new world, how things work in it, our protagonists, etc. Naruto has the fewest main protagonists of the HST, with 3(4 if one includes Kakashi) and so introductions are easy enough. I'll start with listing the simple pros and cons of the arc.
Pros: I like 3.5 of our protagonists. One thing I admire about Naruto is...well, he sucks. Compared to Luffy and Ichigo, who pretty much run through their early opponents with little to no difficulty, Naruto is pathetic. He isn't very strong, very smart, or in general very talented. But he's got hope, he's willing to try, and he is sympathetic enough that I want him to succeed. And he has perfect chemistry with his teammates, and I enjoy that. See this scene for why. I also liked Sasuke. He's a nice contrast to Naruto, being the perfect ninja. But like Naruto, it's made pretty clear early on that he is not much compared to the big dogs. He's just a talented kid who is a loner, and his secret past is interesting enough. Kakashi is also cool, being funny and generally condescending to his students but he does it so they can become better ninja. He seems well aware of how harsh the world can be and tries to make it so his students are more morally grounded than a lot of ninja.
The villains are also good. Mizuki kinda sits an example for certain characters: appearing to be harmless but having secret evil motives. I suppose he isn't very threatening but that's what he deserves for being the one shot villain of the first chapter. Ebisu is also fine, kinda of a prick that we can't wait to see get beaten up(but the result was much funnier). But our first villain villains were Zabuza and Haku. The Demon Bros were just hella weak and had a cool design, so I don't really have much to say. Unlike Zabuza, who juggles the duties of being a threat and having to show how cruel the ninja world can be. Haku also serves this example, though to a weaker extent because his character doesn't let him be as threatening. Still, after all these years I still remember them and I still like them.
I also liked the supporting cast. Hiruzen manages to pull off the wise old ninja look, Iruka manages to be instantly likable after the first chapter, and Konohamaru, while being somewhat of a brat, is in general a likable kid. Funny too. Inari and Tazuna are also pretty cool, and the former does go through a believable amount of character development.
Another thing I forgot was the humor. Naruto has some really funny humor in the early arcs. And there is variety to boot. Whether you like Naruto's perverted techniques and overblown reactions, Kakashi's flippant assholeness, InnerSakura, or, oddly enough, Sasuke's complete flabbergasted reactions to things.
Cons: So why do I like 3.5 of the characters? Well....Sakura is an interesting case. I personally like/hate her. It's easy to see reasons to hate her. She's a b*tch, she doesn't really do much throughout the story, and in general has to be told or otherwise led to be a decent person. Seriously, envying Naruto's lack of parents was just plain unlikable and the minute Sasuke told her to Stfu, he basically had me won over. Now why do I like her? Well...she does legitimately do good things. I mean, she does give Naruto food(even though Sasuke led by example), she does give him tips when asked, she does try to respect her elders, and in general, she does try. And hey points for effort.
On the villains side, I didn't really like Gato. He was just kinda boring. You can peg that character a mile away and I suppose if you like that kind of character it's alright but personally I don't care. He's just boring and he doesn't really strike me as much of a threat.
Surprisingly, the combat was rather lackluster. Which is strange because in general I like the Naruto combat the best of the HST. But the Mizuki beatdown happened offscreen, Ebisu was played for laughs, the second half of the Zabuza fight consisted of some boring splash fighting, and the Haku fight was just kinda meh. It had good moments to be sure, like when Sasuke and Naruto tricked Zabuza with their elaborate scheme and when Kakashi used his dogs to beat the mist. But overall just felt meh.
The stories tended to be just okay. They weren't bad but they weren't very good either. I'm tired so I don't have much to really say about that.
Final Verdict: In general, I was pretty pleased with the early arcs. They're better than I remember, mostly due to how well it does play on the rivalry and friendship between Naruto and Sasuke. And the humor. So, out of a score of 100, I'd give it an 80. Pretty decent all around but far from perfect.
I've now become a genius. evillaugh

I agree with everything except for the stuff in red.
Spoiler:
Also, well done. Your writing/review style is relaxed, descriptive, direct, and fairly spot-on. I could read your reviews all day and not get bored. You really do have a talent at this. Some movie/book reviewers get caught up in pontification and symbolism (me) and that detracts from the point of the review. Some people get caught up in trying to sound the most cynical and critical and they are almost always off from the main population (half of all professional critics on Rotten Tomato), and still other critics' reviews come off tangential and side tracked to the actual media being reviewed (this is the most common type of professional reviewer I can observe).
So I said all that to say this: I know what you should be when you grow up. 😐
I found the Zabuza story (and wrap-up) to be one of the best stories in all of manga. Despite the maturity level of the story (hey, it's not aimed at college educated adults...but it is still pretty good considering), it still made me choke up at the part where Zabuza cried over Haku's loss. Something that no other manga/comic/book has ever made me do. I was like, "*sniff sniff* Even Zabu's black heart can be melted. 🙁 "
I thoroughly enjoyed his berserker rage death at the end, too. So bad ass.

How can you disagree with Mizuki being beaten down off screen? That's canon! 😠
But nah, I can see why. In regards to the action, I'm more or less cheating and holding it to the standards of the great action scenes later on. On their own, I suppose they aren't too bad. I mean, you do genuinely wonder how Naruto and Sasuke will beat the Ice Mirrors and it is cool to see them go through trial and error. But the sharingan and Kyuubi basically nullify the problem in a way, so I didn't like that very much. I think both were cool, just not very...interesting to see. Well, for combat anyway. Since the sharingan was barely used against Haku and the Kyuubi rendered all opposition worthless, making for a kinda boring ending. From a narrative perspective both are good for the plot of course.

Well it doesn't really take a genius to figure out that Naruto going Kyuubi symbolized that he was really friggin pissed. 😖hifty:
But I did find some symbolic gems, like this. Just didn't feel the need to comment on it. And I did consider posing the question of how do ninja see when they transform into shurikens and stuff but decided not to. But yay, glad I pleased you! ^^

Well again I think it's because I've caught on to Kishi's strategy. He likes to plant seeds into stories but also give the reader something to enjoy. This is most prominent in the Hidan and Kakuzu arc, where Naruto spends most of the time training. Which isn't really all that exciting or entertaining so hey, here's Shikamaru. You guys love him right? Here I think the seeds would be the relationship between Sasuke and Naruto and the description of the cruel shinobi world.
So in that regard, I try to review the story with that in mind. The story of a land who once had a hero and has gone through tough times is a decent enough story I suppose but I'm personally into stories that affect the world as a whole. Which was why I just called it okay. In hindsight, it probably is better than I give it credit for. I regret putting it into the con section...need to probably change up things, and just talking about the different sections in general. Would probably have been easier to understand.
In fact, when I say I like stories the affect the world as a whole, I mean it. Even as a kid, I was thinking along those lines. Like, for some reason the scene where Inari is about to go to the bridge and he opens the door and sees a bunch of people.
http://www.mangareader.net/93-36-5/naruto/chapter-31.html
For some reason, as a kid, I could only keep thinking to myself that the only guys I ever saw with hats that could make those shadows were the Kage. So I thought the Kage had come to like help out and stuff. In hindsight, it would have been hilarious if that were the case.
