Sasuke is less perfect. And Itachi could, pfft, talk to Sasuke? Say, try and help him get through the pain he's feeling? Try and talk him out of doing irredeemable evil? In a way, it seems like Sasuke really wants him to do that. He was saying all that stuff in the last chapter and Itachi was basically ignoring him.

itachi knows sasuke is mentally retarded, so he rather naruto, someone equally impaired deal with him

Maybe, because he keeps saying it. At what point do you just say "F" it, and ignore him. He tried to tell him he didn't want Sasuke to take revenge on the village several chapters ago as I recall and of course, douchey Sasuke still wants to do it. The whole speech about Izanami was kinda of an outreach as well. Sasuke at this point is just being a crybaby. Oh, and Itachi is far from perfect. His psyche is totally out of whack, but he meant well I guess.

Cause the way I read it, Itachi was reciting the same pretentious type of dialogue he always says. The only thing Itachi said regarding Sasuke's vendetta against Konoha amounts to "I wish you hadn't done that...oh well, we all walk our own paths." Seriously? **** Itachi.

What is he supposed to do? Plead? Beg? Sasuke would be too dense to listen anyway. His best friend and teacher couldn't convince him that what he is doing is pointless and stupid. How is big brother going to do anything?

By talking to him. Sasuke WANTS Itachi to talk to him and give him answers. Right now Itachi is the only person Sasuke would listen to. And even if for some reason Sasuke didn't listen to him(keep in mind, Sasuke is showing a desire to listen to Itachi), at least Itachi can say "I tried."

I remember him lamenting the fact that he pushed Sasuke the way he did when he was talking to Naruto. It's kind of sad on Sasuke's part that he needs someone to tell him what to do. Man up. Accept the loss and move on. Naruto came to terms with his ordeals. Gaara did as well. Sasuke is the only one who hasn't. Plus, I'm sure he some words of wisdom for him before he fades away.

Well Itachi could've started taking responsibility before the time-skip, or even during the Hebi arc. But instead he waits until he's brought back as an ET zombie to admit that he ****ed up. At least Minato had the decency to record an apology...along with a hidden message from his mom. Well Izanami would've been better as an EMS tech that Sasuke could use instead of another reason to hate Itachi; since he's supposed to get one for some reason.

Escentially had Itachi not screwed with Sasuke as badly as he did, this whole mess could've been avoided for the most part.

And no, you can't just man up and overcome a psychological disorder. Naruto had Iruka and eventually Team 7. Gaara was beaten in a fight by a person who understood him and showed him a new way to live his life via his actions.

Comparatively, Sasuke is still far less of a whiny ***** than, say, Nagato.

Sure, but then the Uchihas revolt, his family is probably still murdered, and he still plots revenge. No real change

Naruto movie 6- has Kishimoto involvement.

And tells a story where neither Minato nor Kushina died.

Kakashi is more hotblooded and Gai more serious. Sasuke more smooth and social, Hinata more outgoing, Ino more serious, Shikamaru more playful...

Words cannot describe how much I hate that design of Hinata's.

Sasuke just reminds me of Masaomi. So that's...odd but okay.

Why does Hinata look like a hooker? Does Kishi hate his female characters that much?

Like how Sasuke isn't in the main cover-art. Though he looks a lot less metro in this design.

the naruto manga should have a what if?/divergent time-line series. there's no way kishi can be content going this path in the core manga, he had to have had second thoughts

Yeah, funny, but at least Itachi is going away next chapter. Then we can all stop hating him.

Also, Will and Determination pulling through has been a key aspect of the manga since forever. No sense in pissing about the Kages getting back up and fighting. Will of Fire b*tches.

I was actually more amused by the "Itachitards" there. They just want to like their character and people give them shit. Poor guys.

Granted, I can't stomach Itachi but I can see why people like him.

Sasuke had also had team 7 and Kakshi favored him more. Naruto also battled Sasuke and tried to get him to come back, but unlike Gaara, Sasuke is too much of a baby to let it go. The point is, Sasuke has not had any less positive role models than any other grief stricken/bad childhood characters and yet he is the only one who can't get over it.

No arguments on the Nagato point, but again, even he could be swayed by reason.
