Konohamaru won't die. I dont think kishi has the gnards to kill a young kid on panel.

How old is he anyway? I thought he was like five or something during the first half but that would only make him eight, and him and his friends are already genin.

Haku was 15 when he died.

Hes got to do something with Naruto though. Too much death is happening around this kid for him to remain so naiive. I mean seriously he worries so much about Sasuke but Jiraya's dead, now maybe Kakashi. Whats is it gonna take for this kid to realize theirs more important things going on than trying to save Sasuke. Any day now, Sakuras gonna get raped and murdered by Pein and Naruto still gonna be talking about "I have to save my friend".

But it's Naruto. Without his never ending optimism then he would suck. That's what has changed so many people. Has he really said anything about getting Sasuke back since Jiraiya died? I seem to more get the vibe he's training to try and avenge Jiraiya.

Actually your kinda right though I have heard him cry about Sasuke so much I basically associate it wth him now. As far as the optimism, yeah I see youre point but its not side characters that are dropping like flies now. I just want to see a more definitive change where he become more serious though its still kinda early to see the effects of Jirayas death on him. Kakashi was personally changed after Obitos death and so was Shikimaru after Asuma's. I wan't to stop seeing him as the buffoon.

I don't think Shika really changed that much personality wise. He just got a lot more focused on beating Hidan that's really it. I want Naruto to keep his never give up attitude. And I think Shikamaru's talk with him is one reason he's not really changed much. I'm sure Jiraiya has seen his fair share of dead loved ones, and he seen his master die, and friend betray him yet he wasn't exactly serious all the time. The fact Naruto has kept that never give up attitude his whole life, with most of it being hated outright by everybody in the village one person he cares for dying shouldn't change him so completely. Everybody else who has died hasn't really been close to Naruto unless Kakashi is actually dead, and Konohamaru doesn't get some miracle rescue.
