but wasn't the whole point of stealing the tools to siphon off the chackra in place of the actual kyuubi? madara doesn't need em cause he has that chackra already (and their weight (sigh)) imo

I wouldn't mind the Kaku brother's chakra being given to Naruto to save him(though I would wonder why Madara spit the tools out if they held said chakra) but Kishi should have established them in, say, the Juubito fight. Plot devices need to be present long enough so they don't feel like asspulls.

Personally I was always hoping that Samui and her bro would have woken up inside the Juubi and adventured around in there. Sure the characters are one note but there could have been some awesome imagery. Alas this was not meant to be.

Naruto accomplished what the Sage of the Six Paths wished for with his ninja teachings.
Minato uses Sage Mode but he gets pwned.
Madara stylishly counters the attempts to get Black Zetsu with ease, and then Obito stabs Madara. He also might have stolen some of the Ten Tails' chakra from Madara, or he's using Kurama's Yin half for the staff.

Shit just might have gotten real. Ten bucks says Naruto and/or Sasuke will end up getting the chakra and/or the left eye. vin

When the hell did Minato get Sage Mode? Furthermore how is it that he's mastered it perfectly like Naruto and why didn't he use this when fighting Juubito. But it was hilarious seeing him get pwned along with everyone else. Damnit Obito just die already so that Madara can go full God-Mode. Also this eerily reminds me of Gin attack Aizen: Damnit Aura and you jinxing shit

Please this is way better than Gin betraying Aizen. At least with Obito here I'm surprised he can still move. And it is just kinda nice to see Obito fighting while half dead though I do wonder how he is keeping Black Zetsu attached to him.

While I generally agree that this is better than Gin betraying Aizen, Gin never underwent a complete heel-face turn due to the main character's words.

I think Obito might end up saving Naruto now, and then he'll probably get killed.

It was better but still lame that it happened at all. I did however find it funny and pretty stupid how Minato is pwned after suddenly gaining sage mode.

given how powerful Madara was before becoming a jinchuriki, it makes sense. still, I'd have though Minato would've at least been able to nearly land the hit on him.

2. Yes, that is an asspull.

We know it was asspull because Sage Mode would have allowed him to more effectively do EVERYTHING as a ninja when he was still alive. Chakra detection, strength, speed, durability, and extra chakra (tons of more chakra, to be exact). Seems rather absurd to introduce that ability when he could have used it to save his wife and many Konoha lives.

Minato having Sage Mode is dumb because it would have helped tremendously with fighting Tobi so his not using it makes no sense.

Incidentally here is a theory on how Obito can still function and keep Zetsu in place: The Kyuubi. Zetsu isn't the host of the Kyuubi but Zetsubito is(since when we see the room where the two talk to the Kyuubi). Obito was fused with Black Zetsu when it was sealed in him so this makes sense. And what powers does the Kyuubi provide its host? Effectively endless chakra and healing factor. Obito going from feeling like crap to being able to fight makes sense if that is taken into account. As for Zetsu I imagine what is going on is a sort of chakra tug of war and Obito with the Kyuubi's buff is able to overpower Zetsu and keep him stuck.

I like that theory.

So the anime has basically made the whole Uchiha massacre thing look like selective bias since in anime canon Danzo outright attempts to kill the 3rd and suffers no punishment. And Hiruzen is aware of this.

Seriously? Danzo flat out tried to kill him and Hiruzen just... let him continue operating afterwards?

Yeah. No kind of punishment whatsoever. It basically amounted to a parent lecturing their child.
