I have a feeling that Kishimoto fell out of love with the manga by the way things ended. He did have the stuff planned out but his execution is way off.
Can't argue there, this seems incredibly half assed.
All these side characters aren't going to get a decent end too. Which is a shame because he's proven he doesn't need a lot of panel time to get them involved like with showing their dreams when in IT.
And I got ignored last time but did anything happen from TenTen picking up Madara's/Kaguya's weapons thing?
The databook has stated that characters can use elemental nature transformations they never demonstrated in the manga.
E.g. Darui, Itachi and Suigetsu can use Wind.
A can use Earth and Water, while B can use Fire and Water.
Konan can use Wind, Earth, and Water. Neji & Sai can use Fire, Earth, and Water.
Hashirama, Kakashi (understandable), Orochimaru, and Tobirama can use every single element.
And that's without getting into Yin & Yang release. Akimichis and Konan use Yang-release to grow big and turn into paper respectively.
EDIT: Turns out the Ten Tails eye/Kaguya's Third Eye is in fact called the RinneSharingan.
