The Official Naruto series Thread

Don't remember exactly which interview or databook I read it from, but the wikia has a decent paraphrasing of it.

Although Sakura is the most recurring female character in Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto did not originally intend for Sakura to be the heroine of the series, even stating on occasion that he still has a hard time viewing her as a heroine. Kishimoto attributes this to him being unable to draw good heroine characters, and fashioned Sakura as a girl who cannot understand men, the best example of a heroine he could come up with. Sakura's creation is a result of Kishimoto's desire to make a somewhat irritating character who was well-intentioned.

Hell, she's practically a better character than anyone on Team 7 (barring Kakashi)

I've gotten to where I kinda hate all of them that much. Lol.

Also, why are these pairing names so crappy? You can almost immediately come up with two or three for the same one that work better. haermm

HiNaru... that's what i was calling it in part one of the series, but the masses went made NaruHina the official name.

Indeed. I'm more interested in the stuttering chick who hasn't done anything.

still way better than the chick who treated him like shit 'cause she was obsessed with the bad boy with kewl hair who tried to kill her several times.

I feel like NaruSaku is for the ones who were emotionally attacked like Naruto and seeing him with Sakura is personal gratification that one of their ilk can win it all.

Whereas "settling" for Hinata is the lame choice.

Him? Don't recall mentioning a him. Merely pointing out that the stutterer has not done anything that special or interesting.

Not really. You can always just treat her like shit in return until she starts acting right.

You can't beat a personality into someone, though.

if giving your life for the one you love isn't special, i don't know what is.

who hurt you, Aura?

Hinata is a kind and gentle soul who would give her life without thought, rather than seeing her beloved be killed.

Hinata is a ride or die chick, and no one will ever love you as much as she loves Naruto-kun.

In anime it is quite common. In Naruto a great deal of people have done the same thing. Even Part 1 Sakura. Is she totally awesome now?

Personally I think it is far more noble and less selfish to sacrifice yourself for somebody you barely know.

Kishimoto hurt me when he failed to give Hinata something special or noteworthy aside from her tending to get wet around Naruto.

Nice. Now if only a hundred other characters from this manga were willing to do the same-oh wait they have because self-sacrifice is the job of a ninja and plenty of people sacrifice themselves for love.

And hey, if you want a ride or die chick then Karin is the best girl. She will stay with you no matter what.

So...no buttsex in the mountains? Granted Naruto and Sasuke did sleep together in a valley and exchanged body fluids so I guess that's something.

the first one was to save Sasuke.

the second one had nothing to do with Naruto at all.

i wasn't talking about general sacrifice... like you said, pretty much all anime characters do that. I'm talking specifically about unwavering loyalty and dedication to Naruto.

Oh so Hinata is the more interesting character because she does nice things for Naruto specifically? Nice to know a woman is only as good as the man she is blindly devoted too.

Mind you Part 1 is more than willing to sacrifice herself for Naruto as well but whatever.

She would certainly make an excellent, dependable bottom-*****, yeah.

Naruto will end up with Tenten.

I have a theory that this chapter was the ending and that the 700th chapter is more of an epilogue to set up for the next series.

Edit: Or maybe not lol. Forgot about Naruto becoming Hokage. Still not sure why Kakashi became Hokage. But none of that matters since Kurotsuchi is Tsuchikage and that makes me happy. ^_^

Yeah 699 felt more like an ending than 700. Oh and did Kishimoto just have a collection of bones to throw shipper. Oh and I guess not only Tsunade but the rest of the Kages said "**** it" after the war.

BTW Choji wins! That is all.

You know Naruto is a really shitty parent who doesn't have an excuse for ignoring his kid.

He can, with a gesture, be in two places at once. Why not make a clone to spend time with the kids when you're busy?

Admittedly Bolt isn't a very likable kid but whatever.
