Sure if he used Shinra tensei to destroy Konoha they wouldn't be able to do anything. But you don't think all the actual non-fodder characters would have been able to at least put up a better fight or work together to beat the split up bodies who are weaker when split apart? Well in the Pain vs Kakashi fight, didnt Pain only use his gravity powers? i cant really remeber. cuz if hed used shinra tensei then i dont know why Kakashi survived as long as he did. good utilization of shinra tensei would enable pain to beat kakashi and gai(plus alot of others) at the same time quite easily.

True, but i dont see why Pain didnt Shinra tensei kakashi since the beginning of the fight.

Kakashis kamui though it might damage pain, takes longer to use than shinra tensei any damage could have been easily repaired. also i know that pain usually refelcted kakashi's attacks but my point is that if ninjas like gai had been there then pain would have needed to use shinra tensei to better effect. In doing so he would have easily disposed of kakashi and gai plus any other cannon fodder ninja available.

And if Gai or somebody stronger had been around I guess it's possible Pein may have stepped up his game. But there's also the fact Pein was trying to get info which gave Kakashi the time to figure out his powers. And with the stronger help Pein would've been put in the same exact position Kakashi had him in but this time he'd have had two people coming at him, and only one body to save him.
