How would Danzou have prevented Sand/Sound invasion? Or Pein's? There isn't anyway they could be prevented. Danzou probably wouldn't have did anything against Pein, or Orochimaru either. He sure doesn't seem like a fighter more of the kind who uses everybody else to do what he wants. The times it's been destroyed were times no matter what it would have happened anyway no matter which Hokage.
Well for one, konoha could have actively tried to find akatsuki members through their connections, maybe use ninjas for spying (which is, you know, their job), maybe tried to locate akatsuki's base, you know.
Honestly if konoha had bothered to do any good reconnaissance on the sand they easily could have discovered their plans for betrayal and prepared accordingly. They should have been taking action like Raikage against akatsuki the moment they became a threat.

how do you know they didnt? for one thing the show only focuses on one or two teams at a time fo all you know there could have been dozens of ninja that werent focued on that spent their time doing those very things. last i checked team Gai was in the middle of a mission looking for kabuto when pein attacked, before that team yamato went looking for orochimaru's base, and before that jiraiya's been keeping tabs on akatsutski.

easier said then done. the raikage hasnt done jack. hes ordered a meeting okay. how has that prevented anything?
didnt he compete with him before he was old and possibly missing an eye AND an arm? even orochimaru noted that the third's power was only a fraction of its former self as he aged and the third spent time actviely in duty for all those years. whens the last time danzos even been out on a battlefield or be in a situation where he can flex/hone his skills?

and why do you assume that danzo and the thirds relationship in power remained the same over all those years. theres no reason to think that their powers grew and shrank equally.

the third spent every day in active duty. hes the hokage and if theres ANY threat to the village hes supposed to don the armor and go fight, at any time. hes just like any other jounin or ninja he has to at least keep his skills up when not in combat because if there is any fighting hes expected to be in the thick of it at any time. just because an army is not in the middle of war means it stops training. danzo is the opposite; hes a politician. when the fighting goes on no one expects to see the council otu defending the village. take a look at the pein fight tsunade was out in the battlefield while danzo was sneaking about in the sidelines handiling foreign relations and killing frogs. so yeah just the act of being a hokage requires you to train and keep on your skills whereas being a council member does not.
as for tsunade we both know she fought like shit youve even said that on the other forum. she fights like a tank throwing haymakers with no real skill and was barely able to fight kabuto and an armless orochimaru.

i dont think so. it could be a ruse though it seems unlikely that he could keep it hidden for like ever.
