sasuke lost his only purpose in the manga in part two when itachi/madara spilled the beans.

Kisame got owned like a ****ing *****. Despite everyone thinking that Kisame was going to win I knew he was going to be taken out.

And guess what? He was taken out like a *****. That was ****ing awesome. Aside from Neji, Kakashi, Gaara and Lee, the two are my favorite characters.

Madara gets mad, and owns all five ninja countries single handed until Naruto gets mad and does a giant rasengan?

Sounds about right, except you forget the part where Jiraiya's ghost comes back to teach him the giant super rasengan, and that it results in the destruction of the world and everyone's soul floating out and space and getting absorbed by Ideon.
