Post exam I don't think any other team could realistically take them, between Kyuubi and cursed seal and better jutsu. Not even team Guy.

Pre exam they weren't as dominant.

The only reason Team 7 is unbeatable really is because there is like only one person on any of the other rookie teams that aren't totally worthless, the exact opposite of Team 7. Shino is held back by Hinata being scared to fight, and Kiba just being weak, and Shikamaru is held back by Ino being more useles than Sakura, and Chouji being slow and weak. Chouji has potential with the soldier pills, but those are also deadly to him.

I dunno. Prior to Jiraiya's teaching before the final part of the exam, he could only access it during times of great stress. Granted, he was under stress then (he farted...), but it's entirely up in the air whether or not he would have been able to tap into the Fox's chakra. If he did tap into it, yeah, he'd have pwned Kiba.

No members of the other teams have power comparable to CS2 Sasuke or One-tailed Naruto; apart from maybe Lee and his 5 gates, though we know what happens if he fails to incapacitate his opponent.

Then there's Gamabunta, Rasengan & Tajuu Kage Bunshin for Naruto, and Chidori & 3-tomoe-Sharingan for Sasuke.

It is, but probably not in the way people are thinking. It's more likely something genetically present in everyone, but only triggered in certain circumstances in development. For example, the more older brothers someone has, the more likely they are to be gay. Which makes sense- past a certain amount, it's more useful to have a wingman to help a tribe out without competing for mates.

It is to my attention, to safely say Kishimoto doens't know how to properly develop characters of all sides. It's either about Naruto or Sasuke to him and on another note, this whole Light vs. Dark medium is poory executed and annoying. Naruto has cheerful moments, and Sasuke as dark moments. But sometimes it's out of place at the wrong place in the wrong time. Kishi screwed up.

Give me some examples as I'm not following you too well.

Whilst none of the other teams are as powerful as C2 sasuke or Naruto straight up, their powers have more subtleties. Shino's chakra draining bugs and Gentle fist are both effective weapons against superior/higher chakra opponents.

What would be the most effective 3 man sqaud of the konoha kids to have a shot at c2 sasuke?
I'd guess some combo of:
Shino
Shikamaru
Neji
Lee

But im not sure who to drop.

I'm not sure if Shino would be good, the chidori current move could fry even bugs that got on him pretty easily.

doh I remember now. Yeah, Naruto wasn't able to walk on water, and after Jiraiya removed the seal made by Oro, he was able to. Yeah, he probably would have beaten Kiba easily, had he been able to use his chakra effectively.

I think kishi is getting back his charm because i like the side characters a ton, it's just the former team 7 that sucks.
