Or.

It may be because he is the main character the entire manga is named after.

😐

Yeah, that but it's gotten to the point he's the only character people care about anymore or just mean to expose. He's like the second coming of Goku and overshadows every ****ing shounen hero in a media exposure currently.

Do you know how many weeaboos make drawn sex pictures with other characters and him?

Well, maybe... Bear with me here, MAYBE it is because Naruto is more or less the most popular Shounen manga in the world right now, and as the main character of said manga, why should he not have the most exposure?

Granted, there are many series that are better than Naruto, but since Naruto is so popular, Naruto, you know, the lead, is naturally going to get the most exposure.

Why do you care so much about how much hentai he's in anyway? 😐

I thought One Piece still had that title. In fact I always thought One Piece had at least 4million more sales than either Bleach or Naruto.

Although Naruto is pretty friggin popular.

It's not that I don't care, it's just that I don't feel he's deserving of it. Maybe because the fact his series makes it seem he's the most unique thing since Ash and Yugi.

Naruto being the lead means nothing, he is usually more exposed in art than the main heroine. And generally girls get more fan art than male leads.

Hentai wise, he kills it for me because he's generally depicted as a playet or a chick magnet which contridicts his original theme of being dead last in things like that, which annoys me at best because fanboys always wank to that dudes misfortune and treats him like he's the ultimate underdog jesus. Even though their are to many yaoi fan girls who also want him to soothe their bishonen Uchiha boys because their emo avenger to them has no other love than the baka blonde.

This is what I figured out.

Hence the more or less.

The Big Three in Shounen are Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece.

1. That's fine, he's really not. He's basically just a random Goku rewrite, only with a heavier dose of Messiah Sue gheyness. I don't think Naruto's quality of writing warrants it being as popular as it is, but whatever.

2. It means ALOT. Being the lead at the very least means he is probably going to get more exposure than any other character. As far as fan-art goes... That's just pointless bitching.

3. Lol. That's the way it is for EVERY character at some point or another. I read hentai. Alot. Like, all the time. I sometimes read Evangelion hentai, sometimes with Shinji macking one of the female characters. Now, that sentence already screams wrong on so many levels, as canonically the closest Shinji comes to screwing Asuka was fapping above her comatose body. Also, in the manga itself, Naruto is very much portrayed as the "ultimate underdog Jesus." Also, Naruto could easily get laid RITE NAO if he wanted to, but he's way too busy trying to woo Sasuke, who is too busy crying at night with his hand in his pants as he has fond thoughts of his older brother.

Point is, who the **** cares? 😐

1. Okay

2. Maybe you don't understand me, I mean when Naruto is shown more, it means the series is a poor representation of what it is about. It's mainly about Naruto but unlike DBZ and One Piece, it doesn't explore anything or displays a bigger picture of the series. DBZ is about Sayains and Heroes, One Piece is about Piratcy and Dreams, Naruto is just about Naruto and Naruto as a exention of the idea it conveys.

Fandom wise, it's also about annoying ******* fans like me and you and the fact we debate over the smallest things about it's characters. And also hate vs. love both literrally and metaphorically.

3. I see no need to impose yourself on my views. I care. Because my favorite character needs some love to, and he's to busy being whored out by female fans. It's like Naruto gets the good stuff and Sasuke gets the gay stuff. Whats the point of being a fan if one of your favs is a yaoi character, a widely hated character, and the target for most debates?

Seriously, you TLDRing me proves you obviously care as well.

1. Indeed.

2. Naruto being about Naruto? HO-LY-SHIT. Naruto is about Naruto, it is his story, he dominates the story and everything about the manga because it is about him. Shitty writing or not, that is what the manga is about, him. Oh and I guess it also has some kind of newer generations surpassing the old ones theme or something. But yeah, is mostly about Naruto.

I have debated shit about Naruto, but all you seem to care about is that your favorite character does not get enough exposure or some shit. I like Hinata, I would like to see Hinata be in the manga more frequently, and I would like her to be portrayed as more than just Naruto's ***** or stalker among the fandom, but she's not, and there is not really anything I can do about that.

3. Wait, so you're upset because of all the yaoi goodness the female fangirls play him off as in art/fanfiction/whateveR? Hm. Lol. Sasuke is pretty bishounen, which automatically qualifies him for yaoi goodness, he's also portrayed as having t3h dark past and being all angsty and shit. Which is what the yaoi fangirls crave. Sasuke also has interactions with many other yaoi inducing characters, like Naruto (To a lesser extent though), Itachi, and Orochimaru, so... Him being the designated yaoi boy was inevitable. As for massively hated, meh, I don't hate him quite as much as I used to, don't like him either, although I do agree Naruto as a character is balls. Want moar Hinata plz. Also Raikage. In fact there should be a spin-off about the Raikage and Killer Bee, styled after Russel Crowe's "Fightin' Round the World."

Oh please, we have not begun to reach tl;dr status.

Sasuke's yaoi-bait in part because his dark side lets him be "redeemed" by the yaoi fan's favorite character, and in fact trying to redeem him has been a big part of the series so it's an easy fit.

A lot of romance fantasies involve one character pulling another out of darkness, then smexiness ensures, etc. etc..

For series popularity, OP is easily the top in Japan, I think Naruto's top in the US but not by as wide a margin.

I find it quite fun.

Naruto is fun as long as you don't try to discuss it on an internet forum.

it seems really freaking popular though, makes bleach look like berserk 😐

I don't think it does that much more sales-wise than Bleach... though there's definitely more to discuss. Don't underestimate the allure of being able to discuss out the world building and so on.

Pacing wise it is fastest of the big three, which helps too.

Ironic to say here 🙂 Honestly I find this a really good discussion thread.

I'm being in depth here.

I actually wouldn't find it funny at all without the discussion. Nonsense here is quite comedical.

i bet Guy had a son that he was training, but didn't let him learn all the uber moves and died in battle and is now making up for it with Lee

or something like that

I don't think he acts tragic enough for it to be a lost son, but he definitely does see Lee as the son he never had and is reminded of himself in Lee a lot.
