no, something about what the future would bring... doomsday, the war against the machines, the rise of skynet and such... or am I messing up movies?

In T1 all they showed were little peaks at the war, but no actual dialogue in the film explaining the whole thing about the Skynet, doomsday, etc. things.

They did some of it in T2 and then in T3 it completely revolved around Skynet, doomsday, etc. and thats where they really got into it.

T4 would basically just be the war we have been waiting for since 84.

I saw those two long ago, so I probably mixed them up... so you'll still get the movies about those peaks, no?

Yeah the 3 minute war sequences that have been seen in the start of every Terminator film except an extra 2 hours long in T4.

so they can make an infinite amount of movies

Yeah they will probably stretch the war out maybe all the way through two more films.

two MORE? so that means 3 movies pure of war?

No I mean a T4 and then a T5.

ah, misunderstood ya there...

you'll see next year then when T4 hits screens 😄

Unfortunately there is still a cloud of confusion there with them having to either replace Arnold or wait till he has finished his term as Governator.

It seems to me it might have a release sometime in 2007.

and a governor has so much work he can't make time available? or is that against the law?

He can make time for cameos in films, but thats about it. It would probably break some type of law if he left the office for 2 months and starred in it.

It is likely he will be replaced and then given a short cameo towards the end of the film.

so how can that work out with him not returning?

Don't know, I'm not 100% sure of anything at the moment. All I know is rumors, some which say they might bring in a Terminator model along with a new star to play it and give Arnie a cameo.

considering T4 is in pre; I don't think much will be known untill they start shooting ... I remember pics of Arnie wearing a coffin and jamming it in a car for T3 a long time before the movie got released

Yeah, I guess I will have to wait until maybe next year before I hear or see anything official.

I saw those pics too, it was about a little more than a year before T3 was even released.

but what doesn't kill you, like this, only makes you stronger😉

True, I waited 12 years I suppose I can wait two-three more.

but you can see T3 again if you feel the itch 😉

and how do you feel about the possibility of further delays with Bond 21? between the delays we've already had, and this new thing between Babs and MGM... 2006 is already long enough, but what about 2007? it is conceivable... someone mentioned earlier that they wouldn't wanna go more than 4 years between films... but they took 6 years off after Licence to Kill because of legal battles... if they did it then, they could do it again... could take longer than that, though i wish it wouldn't... i'd much rather return to the 2-year gaps, myself...

for my money, i'm hoping Babs will win out... we need a breath of fresh air and a dose of reality after the hype that was Die Another Day...take me away from the Ice Palaces and disappearing cars, and give me a fist fight in a train compartment (a la From Russia With Love) anyday... 😉

out of curiosity, i wonder where Michael Wilson stands on all this... 😕

great to see you here 🙂 perfect name

I think that Michael is pulling the same strings as Barbara, they seem to know eachother well.

I try not to think of such big gaps, I pull myself up to the fact that they have said they don't react to rumors because it are so many... I can't realise that the one wants to spend less money and the one that has to caugh up the money is not agreeing! they must realise that JB has such a name and fanbase that no matter how bad the movie is, people will return!
Though, I must say, a 2 year gap is perhaps a tad too much of the good.

oh and the ice palace; it's based on a real thing, so I don't mind that, it's the disappearing car that ruined it
