(My character said he believed in destiny, that we only do what we are meant to do. Sof if he is meant to die, it wont matter what he chooses, but if he was not meant to die then it still doesnt matter. According to my beliefs anyways. I think Im just gonna drink the wine myself and hope that I am the clone.)
(If I think about it that long I wont be able to decide. Sorry Ush, I know you like to keep things under a certain aspect of control, but im not changing my decision. besides when you think about it its totally random...its dice for petes sake! Philosophically, who can argue with the destiny factor and thats what my character believes so thats, inevitabley will be his choice.
If you feel the need to kill me for that then w/e. Do what you gotta do. If your gonna kill me for that then its better I not play the game at all, eh?)
castor....you are willing to trust your character to teh fate of dice, adn than if you die...oh well...that was his fate, eh?
Well...that's not good enough for me. I'll think this one for a bit.
question: if i persuade the other one to drink the wine, how do i know he isn't the real me.....and i've just killed my character anyway...
I agree with Dexx. Aside from anything else, Castor has forgotten that his clone would simply do the same. You have to give a reason for one of you not to drink. This really is the sort of thiung you are thinking about. I told you straight out that if you do not go through with what Melitus has set before you, then you will both die, so if your final submission is simply that you will kill yourself because you are trusting to luck/destiny, with no other qualification to that at all, then my response is 'you have not convinced your other self why it should be you and not him.'
So if that is indeed your attitude, Castor, then I am happy for you not to play.
And Rade... you don't, unless you can show me otherwise, so if you think that is the case then you should be the one drinking. Unless you think it should be the AI that lives. But making an attempt to define which way around it all is, if your approach is going to be this one (as in the human convinces the AI to die), should be part of your final submission.
all i'm confused about is this:
you say that i do not know whether or not i'm the AI or the real me.
So....if i do convince the toher one to drink, then there's a 50% chance that that one might be the real me..therefore 50% chance of killing my character if i convince him to drink.....
the chances are kind of the same as if i wouldn't even bother to convince him, and drink the wine myself....if you understand what i'm saying
this is my dilema 🙂
