I enjoy playing as warlock, how is warlock boring? it takes a bit of timing, myself ive played as warriors and such and I feel all ime doing is sitting there tapping buttons then waiting for their cooldowns half the time.
I like getting hit and hitting back, im a paladin
warlock is just, ugh
dot dot dot... stare at my demon having all the fun
dot dot dot
oh no hes coming to me! AHHH fear!
I really enjoy my paladin, there is no other class out there that i can have more fun with than my paladin. He has so much to work with so fun to play, especially now that they made them viable... im having a ball

Everyone to their own, imo Warlock is by far the best and funniest class to play (especialy if you RP).
amen to that, I mean pets, unique summonable mounts (not sure about new content but in vanilla WoW the horses were cool), being able to do major damage with one cast of a DOT AND able to follow up with a direct hit of shadow bolt, so many options imo make the warlock class fun to play.
But as people say, to each their own.

Well you only described 1/3 of all locks, the afflication ones.
Ive not got it yet, prob gonna w8 a while until my cash flow gets stronger but is hitting 80 the same as hitting 70 was in BC? as in, you get hit by a sense of how although youve put a lot of work into reaching max level again, you are suddenly hit by the overwhelming sense of how vast and how much there is left to do, and suddenly you become wizened to all the level 80 content you realise hitting 80 was the easy part?
lol.. I'm halfway through 74 atm.. I'd probably be at least a level n a half higher if, everywhere I went to quest, there wasnt some group of horde with an E-peen issue.. they attack 'me' and get mad when I kill them and then they persist to come after me.. like this one horrible 74 UD DK
*fires flare to call red dragon down for quest*
*gets up to last dialogue*
*death and decay appears under feet*
Me : -_- ... /sigh...
*murders DK.. again..*
*repeat*
I was wondering, if I wanted to start playing WoW now, how should I go about it. Should I get a 10 day free trial first, and if so, should I get the one for Classic WoW or for Burning Crusade. And if I think I like it, what should I buy Classic, Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King or altogether. And in which order. On the whole, I am just not sure how the **** MMORPGs really work (from the software side, not gameplay)...so, if someone could help me, I'd appreciate it.
You cant do the burning crusade trial unless you have previously had a world of warcraft (regular) account.. at least as far as I know
Right now theres a world of warcraft battle chest for 40 ish bucks.. that has regular wow and burning crusade in one box.. if you plan to shoot straight for 70, that would be a nice starter kit and a good bargain as well
I dont recommend buying lich until you've hit 70 since you wont really get to enjoy most of the content (as you are required to have at least one level 55 character in order to make a death knight, and level 68 is required in order to go to northrend, etc)

Play the 10 day trial first. If you like it, buy the above mentioned battle chest.
Then at 70 (or 55, if you want to go right into a death knight) buy Lich.
