Yeah, talents have undergone pretty big changes. Now you have to choose a talent tree and stick with it to the end before you are allowed to put points into a second tree. You also get a big ability at level 10 when you choose your specialization, the ability that you'd normally have to wait till level 50 for.
What this does is make low level characters more powerful, but at the same time the system makes high level characters less powerful. For instance with my ele shaman, on live I have enough points to get the instant cast ghost wolf talent, in beta, i can't.
What toons are you looking to transfer, Cherry? And what kind of raiding experience do you have? I'm raid leader and officer for a relatively active guild, and we're always looking for warm bodies to help the cause.
In other news, I got offered $25 to play some company's music in my video I posted last page, which is up to around 60K hits. Obviously I didn't take the money, but it was amusing. My first glimpse of internet riches....
