Hunter just dinged. Vash was my personal highlight, just because it was so different. Yet to do any heroics (item level 6 points too low) but I've heard they're actually difficult.

Uldam is the only new area I've not fully quested.

One awesome point of note... I bought the game off a guildie for 1000 in game gold... Hell yeah, no money don the drain for me

Which server do you play on?

Xavius EU - Bit of a ghost server at times but I've got a decent guild.

Dinged 85, having some good times, about to get into heroics. And tomorrow I'll be attempting to pet tank an instance or two. Hopefully it goes well.

Heard Beast Mastery got a major damage buff. This true? I've been survival since dinging 80.

Stay there for now. Properly glyphed/spec'd/etc., SV is doing the best AoE and single target damage right now in heroics. But the discrepancy between the 3 specs is smaller than it was in Wrath, where it was MM>SV>>>>>>BM for dps. I don't know where MM/BM are right now compared to each other, only that SV is on top by a bit.

SV also has Wyvern Sting for an extra CC ability, which is huge with how important CC has become in heroics (Freezing Trap remains the better 1st option, however).

Wasn't planning on changing due to it's CCing and PvP benfits but was tempted to change my offspec from MM to BM (something I have since done).

As good a switch as any. I still quest as BM. One Kill Command and you'll never pull threat off your pet.

I always preferred MM in a raid setting, Readiness was a wonderful tool that made all sorts of endeavors easier. Extra CC or not, I don't feel like SV has the same utility. I hope it gets boosted back to #1, or at least on level with SV.

Survival is sexy, it's so easy... Especially for raiding, you can slack to high heaven. Onceyou've got a black arrow and serpent sting attatched it's a simple case of hitting explosive arrow whenever it's avaliable, cobra shot whenever it's not and with the excess getting out a few arcane shots or kill commands. Good stuff.

Got a 10 day Free Trial of Cataclysm, and started leveling a Worgen priest, and now I got two questions.

Where the hell are Worgen supposed to go after Gilneas? The game just seemed to drop us off in Darnassus, and I saw one old Nelf quest I remember doing back in 2005, but nothing else.... No way in hell I am leveling those boring zones again.

Also, are Holy priests still a hell to level up? I want to focus mostly on healing in instances, but would still like to do most quests solo, any tips?

Darkshore is where you are supposed to go after Gilneas. You can also go to westfall if you are willing to travel. I've heard Westfall is excellent now.

I think Discipline is the best hybrid type spec. You can heal instances or solo. I believe Holy is more or less just pure healing these days. Could be wrong though, not a Priest expert.

Haven't really bought Cata yet. Don't know if it's worth it as my drive to play the game has disappeared recently. Are there any redeeming qualities to it that would make a tired ol' player motivation to start playing again?

At the end of WotLK, I have like a Mage, Pally and Druid. Didn't really enjoy playing them post 4.0 patch. Other than in PvP. My mage pwnd as frost and my Pally was simply broken (unkillable) before the nerf.

Go to the official WoW website for your region, and you should find a Cataclysm 10 day trial somewhere (on the US and European it's on the front page, Australia I don't know).

And thanks for the info BlackFire, think I'll had to Westfall then.

Enjoying Cata now, woop! good game.

I'm loving this, sparked my interest in playing again. That triple XP reward for recruiting a friend is sooo nice as well. If only they could make the whole game free to play weep

Started a Dwarven Hunter, never played Alliance before.

Yeah, 'tis cool that they're doing that. Free to play up to 20 added to the work they put into the starting zones when Cata launched, means that a lot of people will get to have some fun and test things before playing.

Are BGs available at 19? I suppose twinking would also be available, which could be fun for many.

Apparently there are a lot of restrictions, you're not allow to chat with other people, not allowed to join guilds, and etc.

edit: forgot the KMC censors posts, my stars are all the F-word in case anyone were wondering

Also, I got a 7 day free playtime when the Rage of the Firelands patch came out, and returned to WoW for that week. I must say that the questline itself was pretty darned good. However, they ****ed it all up by doing the worst thing ever in the history of WoW. To continue the questchain, after you had gotten to a certain point, you needed to gather 25 World Tree tokens, which you get 5 a day for doing daily quests. So now they are ****ing hiding questlines behind ****ing daily quests (which is imo the second worst thing in WoW, I absolutely abhor the idea of daily quests).

But 25 tokens, that would only take 5 days (3 actually because you start with 10), so that's no big deal right? But lo and behold, you then continue the questline to a new area, where you once again need to collect tokens, but this time it's two questlines, each needing 125 tokens each. At this point I told the game to **** off, and went to solo AQ for the remainder of my playtime.

If WoW continue with incorporating dailies into the questlines, I will never return.

I'm downloading the ten gigabyte file at 11 kilobytes a second.

go to the download options and turn off throttling, it'll jump to a few hundred per second

That's actually a real shame that they're incorporating dailies into their regular quest lines, now. Dailies were one of the things that really turned me off and made me stop playing. They're basically a literal chore, no reason for them in the game other than a time buffer.

I just started playing WoW again last week, after stopping shortly after The Crimson Hall was added in ICC, so that quest line is pretty fresh in my mind. I'm pretty sure you can get the initial 25 tokens in a day (some of them are reward from standard quests which aren't repeatable dailies). The 125 tokens x2 definitely sucks though.
