Samwise/Sean Astin [merged]

I was recently reading Shelobs lair into The choises of master samwise, and was wondering:

a) is this why sam gets to go to the undyeing lands, cos he had th ring for that short period of time
b)why didnt the nazgul fly straight to him, i mean he was practiclaly in mordor!

yes it is 😄

because they prob thought shelob had eat him...and would kill her later...or maybe its just cos if they did the story would be depressing

ok, but stil i mean, he has THOUSNAD of orcs just over the hill from sauron, he could surely send them all over! and i mean, the RING is what the nazgul live for, they nEED it!

Yes.. If Sauron's attention was drawn to it but Sauron never thought of the possibility that the Ring could be in Mordor... because he only understand it when people wanted the ring for themselves, so he thought itd still be in Eriador or maybe in Gondor, but not coming towards Orodruin... so he didnt pay attention to the regions near him, and he cant find the ring if he doesnt look for it.

In FOTR when the Nazgul sense the Ring, Sauron KNEW it would be in/near the shire and sent the nazgul there, so they were searching for it there - and found it

but what about when frofo puts it on in mt doom, i mean he dint expect is ther did he?

No he didnt, but on Mt Doom it was that strong that Sauron just couldnt avoid getting beware of it... even stronger as Frodo used it willing to keep it for himself

i think also that the books says that another reason Sauron couldnt sense the Ring when Sam put it on because of the dark veil and clouds he put into the air as a defence had also clouded parts of his sight.

I thought the Nazgul were sent forth to The Shire because of Gollums uttering words "shire....baggins"

i have also just got to that part and as i already no the end could someone please tell me how frodo is alive and how he gets the ring back

havent you seen the ye-olde film or am I thinking of the wrong thing you are on about at this time of things.....😖hifty:

anyways, frodo is still alive due to the sting shelob gave him just paralyzed him, sam uses the ring to break into the fortress and gives the ring back to Frodo.....
