Elrohir quickly led her back to the hotel room, maiking sure they were not followed. As he opened the door, he saw Maik across the room, leaning against the wall. To his horror, he realized she was slowly sinking to the floor. "Maik!" he cried and ran across the room to her, catching her left arm to support her. Maik screamed in agony and he quickly set her down, his hand covered in blood.

Sonia's eyes widened. She backed into a corner trying to go to that place in her mind she created years ago to get away from everything. She couldn't bare to see anyone hurt. she guessed that's why she didn't end up in slytherin like her parents.

Elrohir gently pulled back Maik's cloak and to his horror, the left side of her shirt was covered in blood from her shoulder to the belt line. An ugly gash ran across her side, and something thin and metallic protruded from her shoulder. "Sonia, I need your help." he whispered as he franticly tore his cloak into pieces for bandages.

Sonia quietly slipped over to Maik and Elrohir. "H. . .How c. . .can I help?" she asked feeling like she would burst into uncontrollible crying.

Elrohir started wrapping a bandage around Maik's waist and waved absently towards the fireplace. "I need hot water." he glanced at Maik's face and added "I need you to watch her eyes too." Maik's eyes were slowly turning black as he spoke, spreading from the veins into the iris.

Sonia swallowed hard. "That's not good, is it?" she said heating some water.

"Her eye color? No. Black means pain." Elrohir wrapped the bandage firmly around Maik's waist and began investigating the metal in her shoulder. "Maik? What happened?" he needed to keep her talking, or whe might slip into unconcousness.

When she thought the water was hot enough, Sonia brought the kettle over to Elrohir. "I hope it's good enough."

"It's fine." Elrohir replied and soaked some bandages in the water and started cleaning the wound in Maik's shoulder. "Maik, what's in your shoulder?" Maik looked at him, her eys slightly out of focus. "It's a knife blade stupid!"

"Why?" Sonia asks Maik.

Maik thought this over for a moment, then replied " Some idiot cornered me in an alley way and started a fight. He happend to have a knife. I kicked the crap out of him after he stuck the knife in me and then i was about to take the stupid thing out when i noticed somone was following me."

Sonia was mortified. "Maik!"

Maik blinked and looked at Sonia in confusion. "What?" As far as she was concered, her story was as ordinary as describing a walk to the grocery store.

Sonia shook her head. "You didn't hex him or anything?" she asked worried. To maik, this may be common, but to Sonia, if someone attacked her mom or dad they would have used the cruciatous(Sp?) curse.
