Caldwell was becoming increasingly desperate. This wasn't the Maik he had fought two years ago. He would have to use alternate means of defeating her. Before she killed him.

Sonia looked up through tear filled eyes to watch the fight. She was pulling for Maik.

Maik circled around Caldwell slowly, watching him. He fired another spell at her, and she dodged, just like he wanted her to. The spell hit the crates behind her, distracting her as he hit her with a spell, slamming her into the crates and dissapeared beneath them.

Sonia's eyes widened and she ran over to the crates. She started trying to move the crates. "Maik?" she asked worried.

"Sonia! Look out!" Elrohir yelled and shoved her out of the way as a spell shot towards her. "Well, well, well. If it isn't little Sonia." Caldwell said smugly.

Sonia let out an "umf" as she fell to the floor. She looked at Caldwell. "How do you know me?" she asked before glancing to see if Elrohir was alright.

Caldwell laughed happily. "you don't know? Didn't you hear what the Dragon said? I had your parents killed."

Sonia sighed. "Yes, I heard. But why my parents. They never did anything to you." She yelled.

"No. They didn't." Caldwell admitted. "But they conveniently took the fall for me when I murdered Alexander."

Sonia stood. her fists clenched and unclenched involuntarily. She growled. Her blue eyes glowed as a circle of flame surrounded her and Caldwell. "WHy! WHy them?!" She roared. the flames turned blue and grew to seven feet height.

Caldwell was now very afraid. He hadn't expected this. And now the ground was rumbling strangly, like an earthquake. But that couldn't be possible....Suddenly the crates covering Maik exploded into flames and Maik stepped out, her eyes the color of the flames and the ground shaking with her every step. "Yes Caldwell." Maik roared "Why them?! Why Alex?!"

Sonia waited for him to answer. "WHy? Say something or die where you cower now."

Caldwell looked nervously from Sonia to Maik, trying to remain upright as the floor rumbled beneath him. "It's simple." Elrohir said, startling Caldwell. "He's a death eater. It's what they do. Destroying everything good in this world."

Sonia growled making the flames jump highed. "They were deatheaters. I should kill you where you stand."

"Not if you die first!" Caldwell screamed and suddenly shot a spell at Sonia through the flames. But Maik jumped in front of Sonia and shoved her out of the way, taking the spell for her.

Sonia gasped. "Maik!" she yelled running over to her. The flames started to wash over Caldwell.

"Maik! No!" Elrohir cried and ran to her side, ignoring Sonia. He held her in his arms and searched desperatly for her heartbeat, as tears bagan to fall down his cheeks.

Sonia pulled back. Tear fell down her cheeks. She had caused Maik to die. "NO." she muttered as the flames she created disappeared.

Maik's heartbeat was small and fading. Elrohir knelt on the floor, weeping uncontrollably, not moving, even as the aurors streamed into the building to help them.

Sonia ran out of the building. She couldn't stop running. Tears steamed down her face. She ran through the torrent rain.
