Maik laughed at that. Anyone who terrorized Fudge was a friend indeed.
"How are we going to fix this?" Elrohir asked quietly, wiping the smile off Maik's face in an instant. "The Huberts are convicted criminals, like it or not. And now Fudge knows we've been helping them and will be out to get us too."
Maik opened her mouth to say she loved that idea, but Elrohir shot her a warning look, and she promptly clamped it shut.
"Unless you want to leave the country, I really don't know what we can do." Elrohir sighed. "We can't hide forever."
Maik leaned tiredly on Elrohir's shoulder, trying not to fall asleep. This was just too confusing. She half wanted to storm the ministry and get it over with.
" How about get him destracted w/ something else? them he wont have time to bother u guys. Or, u could use a timeturner, and go back to the point Fudge discovers ur idea and change that around. That might cause a little more trouble, but it's better than nothing." SAid Morgan, plowing through thoughts and racking her brain.
"i'm not going to play with time. It's too dangerous." Elrohir said. "Besides the fact that we don't have a time turner anyway."
He looked down at Maik, who was on the verge of falling asleep and asked her opinion on the matter. She cracked an eye open and mumbled she liked the idea of a distraction, depending on the nature of the distraction in question. She then promptly closed her eyes again, giving Elrohir the instruction to wake her up if the moon turned green.
Elrohir gaped at the timeturner for a few seconds before he was able to speak. "How did you get that?"
Maik slowly opened her eyes and regarded the time turner. So Morgan really had one. Interesting.
"Do you have any idea how complicated this situation is?" Maik asked her. "This goes back to the Huberts being death eaters. No amount of time travel can change that." She stared down at her feet, piecing her thoughts together. "Nor can it change what they did, or what they set in motion."
