"A guy named Alex." Sonia says. "That's all I know about him."

"He was my husband." Maik said softly. "What you saw was the night he died. Elrohir, Aslan, Alex, and some others and me,we'd gone to a house looking for some deatheaters."

"The one who died, that I touched, he did it?"

Maik nodded. "We had him cornered, him and another deatheater. But Alex and I got separated..I couldn't get back to him. I finally took down the other deatheater..tried to get back to Alex..." She paused for a moment. "Caldwell saw me coming, hit me with some spell before I could block it. When I looked up..." Maik stopped, a tear falling down her cheek. "Alex was on the floor...Caldwell standing over him...I was too late."

"I. . .I'm so sorry this was all broght back up because of me being stupid." SOnia says.

"It wasn't." Elrohir assured her. Maik just stared ahead at nothing.

"It was, I touched the deatheater and observed his memories."

"But you didn't choose to absorb those memories." Aslan pointed out. "No more than we chose to possess them."

"True" Sonia said. She bit her lip. "Maik, I am so very sorry that this happened to him. . .and you."

"Thanks."Maik said quietly. She burrowed farther into the couch, as if she was trying to find some sort of way to escape into the cushions.

Sonia looked at Aslan. She bit her lip.

Aslan motioned for her to keep talking. Maik hiding in the cushions was allways better than Maik getting angry.

Sonia took a deep breath. "I know it's really hard for you, but I wanna help."

Maik came out of the cushions slightly. "But how? There's no going back and fixing this. Going back to it never helps."

"Um, no, it doesn't. Please don't get angry, but we could talk about it when it bothers you."

Maik nodded. "I guess."
"We're only trying to help you get this out of your system" Elrohir told her quitely. "You've kept it in for far too long."

Sonia didn't respond yet. She wanted to help Maik.

"You're right."Maik agreed. She got to her feet and made for the door, grabbing her cloak on the way.
"Where are you going?!" Elrohir cried.
"To get something out of my system." Maik said shortly and walked out the door. Elrohir went after her, but she had already dissapeared.
"Aslan, if you please?"
Aslan nodded and changed into cat form, bounding out the door.

Sonia hung her head. "I am so sorry." she told Elrohir. "I tried, but I failed."

"Don't say that." Elrohir told her as he sat on the couch next her her. "You got her to finally talk about what happened. That's quite the accomplishment."
