"I don't know." Descartes says. "Somehow I think it had to do with SOnia almost drowning in the creek."

Maik raised her eyebrows. "That could do it."

Descartes laughed softly. "It was an accident and we were both watched after carefully after the incident."

"Accident?" Maik said with a slight smirk. "Does that mean you pushed her?"

"No!" Descartes said cringing at the thought. "I loved and still do love my little sister dearly."

"I love my brother. But that won't stop me from shoving him in a creek." Maik shrugged.

"Uh, yes, well she was one and just learning to walk. That would be homicide."

"Oh..." Maik said slowly. "I see. That's a little different then."
She looked around the house, suddenly remembering about the bed. "Is that the only bed here?"

Descartes nodded. "The only one that I know of, why?"

Maik shrugged. "Just wondering. So I get this place all to myself for a week?"

"Yes, unless you'd like for me to visit you. In that case you cane use that powder on the mantel of the fireplace. Throw it into the fire then call the name of the person you want to talk to."

"Of course I want you to visit me." Maik smiled, inspecting the powder.

"I promise it's not hoaxed."

Maik put the powder back on the mantle. "I'll take your word for it."

Descartes laughed softly.

"Why doesn't your family come here anymore?" Maik asked.

Elrohir squeezed into the elevator, finding a spot next to a large blonde man. "Hello Aslan."
"Finally going home?" Aslan replied as the elevator started to move.
Elrohir shook his head. "No. Something I need to do first."

(Wow! you two've been writing all this by yourselves for a long time. Where exactly are you guys at in this thing, anyway. I haven't been on this thread for a while.)

"I don't know." Descartes says shrugging. "Sometimes I think Dad needs to come here. He gets way to stressed."

(((I'm intrigued but have nothing to post 😕 )))

"Stress is so horrible." Maik agreed. "Really messes with your health."

Elrohir paused in front of the Huberts' gate for a moment before ringing the bell. There was a knot growing in his stomach as he tried to think of what to say to Darius.

The gate opened allowing Elrohir safe passage.

Descartes laughed softly. "Yes it does. I know it screwed with mine in school?"
