The Yule Ball

"If you don't mind, May I ask what happened to him?" Sonia asked. she knew Elrohir seemed sad, but the question had wayed heavy on her mind.

Elrohir considered her for a moment then answered " They went after some death eaters. She came back. He didn't. " Elrohir paused, " She still got hit though. It messed with her head. That's why her eyes change color with her emotions."

Sonia looked at the older man. "i'm sorry." she said. "You two must have een close."

Elrohir shrugged and stared at the picture again. " He made her laugh." He said softly. " He allways made her laugh....."

Sonia nodded. "I hope it was not my parents that hurt him or her."

elrohir smiled faintly "I doubt it."

sonia looked at him. "why do you say that?"

" Well, you seem like a good enough person. Why wouldn't your parents be the same?"

"Um. . .Mr. Elrohir, My parents were death eaters." sonia said looking at her feet.

Elrohir looked at her in silence. Death eaters? " That is a pity." He said finally. "But, regardless of who your parents were, that doesn't mean you have to be the same." He reached out and lifted her chin so she looked into his face. " Even if your parents were responsible for Alex's death."

Sonia smiled. "thanx" she said. "Are you an Aurorer too?"

" Yeah." Elrohir replied "Do you want breakfast?"

Making sure the bed was made so Maik wouldn't go into coniptions when she came back, the walked down to a quiet cafe and had breakfast.

Elrohir noticed, but said nothing. He really didn't know enough about her to make concclusions. After getting a cup of strong coffee for Maik, he suggested they go back to the ministry.

The mention of the ministry made chills creep up Sonia's spine. Goosebumps egin to appear on her arms as she felt an unharbored chill. she felt only one warmth, her anger. "Me too?" she asked Elrohir. It was obvious she had seem to taken to him a little.

He raised an eyebrow "Of course. Unless you have a reason not to? If nothing else, you need to talk to Maik."
