Freddy VS Jason Discussion

Good point, BF, about Robert Englund. NOES is on the way out.

That's not exactly true cinemaddiction because there are plenty of time intervals for another solo Jason movie to fit into(without it being earth 2), meaning it could very well be a prequel or just an unexplained hybrid. The news on it being so far is that "their" going back to the basics, back to Camp Crystal Lake. Also has been reported that "their" location scouting for the lake. Now as to why "their"(websites) are referring to it as Part 11 is for the reason that there is no official title as of yet, so it's just a reference so we know what "their" talking about...

OMG, why the hell would they put Ash in the sequel, It makes absolutely no since. Ash is human, one slash and he's dead. All he did was fight "zombie" things. If you took the chick from Dawn of the Dead and threw her up against Freddy and Jason, who would win? Come on people, Including a little known character like Ash into a blockbuster movie like this is stupid. New Line needs to fork out some money to buy the rights to a new character (or at least borrow him for awhile), namely Michael Myers. If they put that stupid chainsaw hippee in this film I promise you all, It will suck balls.

Don't have to worry about that, as I don't think it will ever happen.

As for a "Friday" 11, same deal. Even a Prequel wouldn't make any sense. Everything was explained in 1 + 2.

In the "The Many Deaths of Jason Voorhees" featurette on "Jason X", Sean Cunningham himself said something along the lines of "You can only kill so many teenagers in camp in cabins", or something to that extent. Which is why they set it in space.

Going back on your word is nothing new in Horror, but to set another worthless Friday in the "real world" is ludicrous and I imagine the fan base will turn sour.

That is true cinemaddiction, but as long as there still being made we'll go to the theaters to see them...you never know though how they might articulate the new Crystal Lake, maybe it will be modern, maybe it won't be a camp anymore, or condemned or closed down, maybe it will become a living area with houses built all around meaning not just 5 or 6 people that happen to be on a camping trip, but lot's of people during the summer for Jason to get his kicks. Considering all of this it would have to be in the time slot after Freddy Vs Jason and before Jason X and being that there will be another Freddy Vs Jason most likely another solo Jason movie will come before...

Wait cinemaddiction, I didn't mean a prequel to the first Friday the 13th, I meant anything before Jason X wihch it most likely will be would be a prequel..

Oh, well yeah, that's possible. The loophole there was that "Jason X" wasn't named "Friday the 13th Part 10". Then they could get away with it.

Prequel or just another sequel is possible with that in mind.

ARGH! in jason X he has hair!

HAir PeOPLE!!!!!!! JASON!!!! ARHHGHGHHG!!!!!

hello everyone i am new here anyway i thought jason vs freddy was good but i didnt like the end when freddy winked he should have just died so we could have one less invisible killer runing around with stupid plot twists and other dumb things just to keep the movies going. DONT MESS WITH 80'S ICONS, BURN IN HELL!!

Oh course no one but Robert can play Freddy. As for future F v J sequels I say f v j 2 will come out next year, and I hope that they make 2 more sequels and that F v J 3 will be the end of them for good, Jason X sucked a lot.

Also I loved the look of Camp Crystal Lake in F v J, the lake was a lot bigger and better, in the F13THS it lot shitty. But remeber that Ash is a very skilled fighter and may be some kind of "super-human" also New Line has already made a script which features Ash. I think Ash will stand a good chance against these to monsters but he'll need the help of Will and Lori, Monica Keena (Lori) has signed on to do F v J 2,

You need to read around, there is NO script featuring Ash. There are no official talks of Ash appearing in Freddy Vs. Jason 2, and it is reported that the whole "ASH" thing was nothing but a HUGE, drawn out rumor. Ive got a feeling they may not even add another fighter to the mix. But I seriously hope they do, as long as its not Leatherface or Ash (which are the only other two characters New Line owns.)

New Line doesn't own Ash, or the Evil Dead franchise. Ash is property of Raimi/Campbell, de Laurentis owns the Evil Dead franchise name, and the distribution contract is through Anchor Bay.

I think I've mentioned this before, but Raimi was entertaining licensing Ash out for the sequel, in return for New Line funding a 4th Evil Dead movie, which makes absolutely no sense, because after his Spiderman movies, Raimi has SONY by the balls, and could get a big budget Evil Dead sequel EASILY through them.

Well all biology aside, I think they were just paying homage to the old school gore like in Kill Bill. Did you see Uma in her mock Bruce Lee gear slicing up Club 88? Arms falling off and blood spraying, that was way cool.

But my opinion of F vs J? Loved it! It was a weird way to make them meet up but I thought that the story worked. With the updated make up technology, Freddy looked very wicked and Englund still had the same humor along with great physical presence. Jason? Pure Treminator. Both of these horror icons were interpreted very well and came together to make a bad a$$ movie. I look forward to any sequels.

Well said Daywalker 😉

But in an interview with with Bruce Campell he said F v J v A might happen , dark phoenix you the one that needs to read around, don't just think everythings right just because it's on KMC.

Did he say anything about evil dead 4?

Where the hell did you get THAT information from, you have no idea what you are talking about, New Line OWNS everything Evil Dead, that is the ONLY reason why they are thinking of putting Ash in FvsJ 2. #*&^ing idiot, seriously. New Line OWNS the rights to Evil Dead... Everyone knows that.... Dont try to argue either, cuz I HAVE proof and i really dont want to embarass you more than i already have...

I get my info from Fangoria and Bloody- Discusting, the fact is, the Ash thing was a HUGE rumor, it was blown out of proportion and now they are actually thinking about it... It had gotten so big, people started to think Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash was a for sure thing... Which it is not, at least not yet.

Actually, I think New Line has a contract with Raimi, which means they have partial rights.... Also, does anyone remember the Necromonican in Jason goes to Hell
