Alien vs Predator [merged]

I thought it was HILARIOUS

Lines like, "It's like finding Moses' DVD collection," and "It's all starting to make sense!" Really made me chuckle.

The only thing I like in this movie, and I don't know if this was in the comics, was the premise of the Predators breeding and hunting them for sport.

Why couldn't this have taken place on the predator planet?

What do you guys think of this idea:

Alien vs Predator: takes place on some planet, you decide, and the movie would have no dialog. The fact that they hunt them for sport is the story. We would just follow the action.

Would that have been so bad?

That would basically have been exactly what the comics were...and the games, too.

Which would have been perfect.

This movie sucked harder than Jenna Jameson on Ron Jeremy.

Hey! I agree!

Finally watched this film last night.
It's at it's best when the two franchises are fighting it out, and when Sanaa Lathan (hottie) realizes she needs to ally herself with the Predators to get out alive, and how that comes out in the end.
The rest of the time, it's stiffly acted with some real howlers in the script. The vast majority of the cast should have been wearing the red Star Trek tops; that's how obvious (and how much I was waiting for) they were meat-sacks waiting for death.
Paul W.S. Anderson is a flashly fanboy hack who steals from better movies and directors. He barely gets a hour of plot out of a good premise (I must admit) to bring the two sides together.
