They are about equal in strength.
Colossus is more durable although Ben is debateably a better fighter

i think Thing got the shaft (same as colossus) because they were members of a "group" FF4, Xmen. writers can't make these guys just impossibly strong and dominating. it would be overkill. just have thing or colossus fight and it's over etc. IMO it's lame to make guys who can't be defeated. it's bad business and marvel paid for it. i stopped buying comics because it was the same stuff over and over. the "unfeatable" guys always won. hence the popularity of Ult U. that's why juggs, thor, iron man etc have gotten their asses handed to them in Ult U. writers know alot of people are sick of these clowns dominating. that's why in Ult U. Colossus and Thing are major ass kickers. time for a change. and a very good one at that.
i always thought thing and colossus should have been two of the most powerful guys in 616. just pure power, no damn hammers, belts, crystals, all that cosmetic crap. thing does get screwed over in 616 but i think that's why people dig him.
