Yup.

He didn't overpower him. He used his moderate superhuman strength backed up by his superior fighting skill to fluster Thing. If it was a slugfest, poor ol' Shatterstar would be a bloody smear on the floor.

I think Colossus has shown he can swing it big over the years so I'm going to say this fight goes 50/50.

In reality, it takes a fraction of the attacker's strength to stop his attack. In martial arts, masterful women can block and parry men's attacks with ease.

Key to that in redirrecting opponent's attack. Wont help to outright stop a crowbar by placing another one in front of it. Especially if the guy swinging it is 200 times stronger than you.
