He's beaten Dr.Doom on his own, without the rest of the FF. He forcibly dragged Namor out of the sea onto land. He's fought the Hulk for hours at a time. He's traded punches with immortal Hercules, and seemed no worse for wear. He even knocked out a weakened Galactus.
I wish Marvel would show this fight, because there's no way Colossus would win, he just ain't got the class.

Unfortunately enough, Colossus is a stronger, faster, more skilled, and more durable character.

Not sure that he's a much better fighter or necessarily stronger but I agree Thing wins the fight.

He MAY be slightly quicker/more agile, although he's usually shown as having normal/above average speed/agility, same as Thing.
In terms of durability, can he take a punch better than the Thing? That's all that matters here. Thing has taken multiple punches form Savage Hulk, and kept on fighting.
Stamina, yes that's greater, but it won't matter because the fight won't last long enough.
Thing is stronger, more experienced, and the better overall fighter.
Thing is more intelligent, more cunning, more determined.
Check out Colossus recent battle with Sebastian Shaw. He knows how Shaw's power works, yet he still just kept feeding him power until Shaw had enough to take him out. That's dumb! Of course, he turned out not to be Shaw, but the point's the same.
In theory, Colossus should be a lot more formidable, with all that danger room training and possible enhanced speed & agility, but in the comics he's never really done much. Writers don't seem to know how to use him. They were happy to leave him dead for a long time. Making the ultimate version gay was probably just to make him more interesting, and give the writer plot ideas.
Thing may or may not be more durable than Colosus I think they are now similar strength. Thing used to be class 85 but is now upgraded to low 100. Colossus used to be 70 and is now a low 100. Both pretty good fighters Thing is a street fighter and colossus trains in a danger room.
The dividing factor is Things will. He is much more of a battler has had to overcome greater odds than Piotr. When they fought the champion he was the only one to last past a round mainly because of his never say die attitude (he's the John McClane of the superhero world)

Fighting Skills:
I've never seen anything from MARVEL stating that Colossus is the better fighter. Ben has ALWAYS been rated as a 5 and Colossus has been no higher than a 4 but, mostly as a 3.
Ben is the original UFC fighter with a highly skilled mixture of Boxing, Grappling, Judo, Jujutsu, Street fighting and Military trained combat H2H.
So Ben's definitely higher on the pecking order than Colossus in fighting skills.

Strength:
Ben has many, many more CL100 feats than Colossus does and much higher ones to boot (I.E. Oil rig, Fing Fang Foom, etc). Although both are CL100 characters.

Experience:
Ben obviously has many more years in dealing with and fighting with a much higher and more powerful villain quotient.

Durability:
Both Ben and Colossus are capable of withstanding extreme temps Colossus more so, he can take higher and lower temps than Ben. While Ben has shown to be able to take more damage and take a better punch than Colossus in actual fights.

Speed:
Neither Ben nor Colossus are speedsters but both have above average reflexes and agility. Although Ben has chased down The Rhino from quite some distance away, I can't think of a similar feat from Colossus. I've seen Ben duck, bob and weave punches more on a regular basis than Colossus.

Intelligence:
Ben attended a State University (schooling) and is a Ex-Militay test pilot (schooling), along with also being a trained astronaut (schooling) Colossus has no formal schooling outside of Pro. X school. And IMO Ben's IQ has gone up over the years by proxy just by hanging with Reed everyday.

Bottom line
Ben wins the majority

I honestly think these guys (Thing and Colossus) are two of the most evenly matched characters in all of comics.
Stats: This is the way i view these characters
Strength- Colossus maybe able to lift more, but its my opinion Ben hits harder. So thats a wash...
Speed- Neither of these guys is that much faster than the other to make a real big difference... another wash
Agility- same as speed
Durability- I would have to give Colossus the advantage here, but Ben can take punishment from anyone.
Stamina- Again, Colossus has an advantage here, but Ben has been shown to take on the Hulk for extended periods of time.
Intelligence- Ben is probably a little more combat savy, but not a real huge advantage.
Fighting Skill- Ben is a better fighter...More experienced, and in my opinion tougher.
They probably split 50/100 matches right down the middle

Ben is a boxer and wrestler.
colossus is skilled in fencing,jude,bishudo,boxing and so on, Hell he even trained to weild bo staffs.
