There have been floods, that much we can assume... icecaps melting, ending of the ice age but most important from a social point of view:
MANY stories about the flood... and if I'm not mistaken, they all took place 10 000 years ago. So the entire story about only Noah surviving thanks to a big ship is utter and utter crap. The indians (or to be political correct I believe the latest term to be used is native americans?) had one survivor (on a whale) and he met this city (if memory serves) and repopulated "earth" (in other words, his part), etc.

But haven't you seen psychics on tv, like Sylvia Brown, and they tell people accurate stuff about them and the people tell them when they are wrong too and when they are right, so where are the psychics getting their answers. They even say we have spirit guides.

It's on TV, therefore I have no way of knowing whether or not it actually happened, or if the entire thing was staged. There's an episode of the Simpsons where they all get hauled off to an island where they get constantly drugged for some reason, so I guess that really happened as well?

Alright then, I'll use a different example. There's a lot of stuff on Fox News, which is a TV channel with real people, doesn't make any of it true. 😛

Seriously though, you have absolutely no way of knowing that these TV shows aren't staged. "Friends" is a show done with real actors, in a real place, but did any of it actually happen? No. The same could easily be true of Sylvia/Montel/Maury/Ricky/whatever.
