Why didn´t Yoda and Obi Wan train luke and/or leia to be Jedis?

Getting back to the thing about Luke not being trained by yoda. I think he didn't because every one had to be seperated just in case the Empire found one person they wouldn't be able to kill luke or leia. Every body had to be spread a part. So if they killed luke or if they killed leia that it would not be the end. Also just to post this it is not Jedis it is Jedi, you cannot say Jedis unless it is in possession of something. For example a Jedi's lightsaber.
