Stating the opinion that they suck IS talking about the band. If you don't like it, too bad.

Saying they suck is indeed talking about the band. Its wrong of course, but at least its on topic 😉

How is someone saying that they think a band sucks in a thread about said band wrong? It's not. It's saying what they think about the band.

Just have to learn to deal with the fact that not everyone will like something and it's perfectly within their rights to say so.

Theyve said that they listen to all kinds of music, so if they have some guilty pleasures I wont hold it against them

I'm sure every band has a guilty pleasure. I could care less about what a band listens to on their own time, as long as I enjoy the music that they put out there as a a band.

Can listen to what he likes. I just find it a bit hypocritical that he's out there criticising bands for being PC, and for not being honest musicians when he's out there supporting corporate pop. A little fairness.

I don't like their music, I don't like the band's "look how much excessive drug use we indulge in because it's cool" attitude. I do however respect their honesty, somewhat. So it's not like I'm hating on them. Just raising issues. Stop taking it personally. I'm not trying to annoy anyone, just voicing my opinion.

Based on the fact that Pinball's brother has stated Tool's fans are all crazy - I must now change my own opinion out of the blue and suddenly agree.
