DAMN! the Timberwolves handed the Lakers their own ass yesterday. I think a couple of calls early on didn't go the Lakers way and it totally threw them off track. that and the Timberwolves just executed marvelously.
Some complaints I had "as a Laker fan" were..
Fisher getting clobbered on that pick by Sprewell...and he got a defensive foul for it. Personally I thought Spre took a step and leaned into D-Fish on that one.
Karl Malone's offensive foul. I didn't think...ummm...Hoiberg (think it was him) was there early enough to get the offensive foul. Granted Malone did his signature knee to the chest...so Hoiberg deserved it for the guts he showed. This foul was key because it gave Karl 3 fouls early in the 2nd quarter...making him sit until the 3rd quarter.
Shaq took a pretty nasty foul against Madsen and Mad Dog held on so Shaq would get hurt. Well Shaq kinda flailed his arm to get free, and this caused Trenton Hassell to push Shaq after the foul. (no technical foul called)
But on the next trip down the court Garnett got fouled by Slava and Slava tried to prevent KG from getting continuation on the foul by hacking him during the shot. (technical foul on Slava for trying to prevent KG from getting an AND 1...that confused me a lot)
Those were my big 4 complaints...they don't make up for the shalacking the Timberwolves layed on the Lakers. but they did effect the momentum of the game.
Credit to the Timberwolves defense against the wing guys on LA. They had Kobe and George getting the ball 6-10 feet from the 3 point line all game. This really ruined the Lakers ability to run their offense, and it created some key turn overs for transition baskets.

Well it seems to me they went to the finals and lost 13 times. No team has lost more NBA finals in NBA basketball history.

I was talking about in the most recent years. And why wouldn't you consider a team like the Celtics to be more like the Yankees.
though not to discredit your powers of looking up stats on a web page....excellent job proving me completely and utterly wrong.
and it appears the Yankees lose to teams that are like one hit wonders. The Celtics, Bulls, and Pistons all won back to back championships those years. Except the very last meeting with the Celtics and the 76ers. So there's 11 of your 13.

i'm really touchie? all i did was post my opinion on the lakers and u made it personal just like when i stated my opinion on derek fischer...is it me or is it everytime u read a post about the lakers that u dont like u take it personal?

Your opinions are stated in poor taste. You can't state an opinion without completely flaming a Laker because you hate the fact that they are going to win the championship this year. Yes...i went and said it. FACT that they are going to win this year.
Of course, we can always hope that Shaq will continue to shoot 4 out of 10 from the field and for Karl Malone to score 2 points....but I'm thinking that isn't going to happen again this series.
Or to even the playing fields I could talk crap on Reggie for getting blocked on a break away layup with no one in front of him, ultimately making it so they lost the game, home court advantage...and their edge in the series. But rather than throw a couple of childish F-bombs and explitives, I'd rather just say....next time he better dunk it.
