SABRE DUEL- Captain Rex vs. Lance Windu

Afraid I have to bail for now- it's quarter past three in the morning! And I have some work to do tomorrow.

Gald stands at the ready for a wild move.

Lance picks himself up off the floor and expands his sphere of responsibility out to cover the entire room. He feels the lightsabre ,that was thrown towards him, cascading across the room. But he also keeps his main attention on the Dark Jedi who is standing on the balcony above him. Lance throws himself up and over Gald's head and goes for a blow straight to face shot (a blow to the head going straight down).

Gald manages to block the fatal blow, but in the process tumbles over the railing and off the balcony. He hits he floor with a loud, resounding thud, but quickly gets up. He seems unfazed, but he now has a large bruise on his right side. He limps slightly, but uses the Dark-side to ignore the pain.

Gald then eyes a chandeleir above Lance's head. He throws his lightsaber at it, slicing it from the ceiling. It looks as if it is about to crush Lance. Gald uses the Force to make it fall faster and harder.This will be my finest hour, he imagines.

I doubt it is a chandelier, as such, in a Sith monastery, but I am sure SOMETHING is up there... mind you, that's a very offensive defence again, Rex.

Lance, for a moment you think you can leap down and finish your opponent off when he crashes down to the floot, but then your senses warn you just in time of the objectr tumbling down from above. You fling yourself to one side shortly before there is an explosion of stone and dust.

Both of you poick yourselves up. Gald is ready again first.

Gald holds his lightsaber like scissors and charges at Lance. At the last second he swings out the lightsabers and brings them down on Lance's arms.

Lance manages to block on of the sabres with his blue bladed weapon. But the other one cuts deep into his right arm. It didn't go all the way through but it is deep nontheless. Lance uses the momentum of Gald's attack and swings their two blades together and presses towards Galds shoulder.

Gald ducks and swings his arm out of the way, but trips and falls flat on his face. He leaps up and jumps over Lance and tries to decapitate him.

Another clash of sabres as the two of you fight to gain the advantage; the fight is intense and no-one is showing any sign of weakness.

(But there is a gash in Lance's arm!!! Very well...)

"You fight well, to bad it'll be over soon."

Lance to attack.

(It's a superficial wound; painful but not debiliatating. You are no closer to actually beating him, that's the important thing)

Lance feints a move then comes in stronger than before. He locks eyes with Gald and starts to cut at his midsection.

"It's nowhere near the end...yet."

Gald feels the lightsaber dig into his side. He backs away just in time, otherwise it would've cut him in half. The wound is very painful, so Gald releases all of his anger and throws himself at Lance, swinging in circles through the air like a ninja star.

Your losing your focus, Gald. You dodge Lance's attack but your furious response is not the unstoppable tornado you want it to be. Lance is beginning to read you! Still, at least you are back on the offensive.

Gald's whirlwind stops and he starts slashing left and right, up and down, trying to break Lance's concentration. Finally, he is able to twist the sabers around, flipping Lance's out of his hand (like in ESB).

Lance ducks once his sabre is thrown out of his hand. He manages to escape the attack by Gald. He flips over him with a half twist so he is facing Galds back. He calls the lightsabre back to his hand. He slashes hard.

Gald blocks, and then shoves Lance back, knocking him to the floor. He then slashes at Lance, causing sparks and...hopefully...blood. "DIE YOU BLOODY FOOL! YOU BASTARD! DIE!!!" Gald is letting anger take control of him.
