🙄 not quite....right now it's like "well, do I keep taking out the bodyguards, or do I kill Jena?" I really don't feel like getting killed in this fight.

Well if Jena is killed than Gallador can`t perform his experiments on her, but if victory is on stake.... Ushagarak, do named characters automatically die after failing death check, or may they get unconcious, similar as with player characters?

Nearly all villains (as opposed to 'heroes'😉 always die on a failed death check.

There is an Alien power called 'Inevitable Comeback' that prevents this; Osokans have that.

It is generally considered that players make sure, in any case.
