Besides, I know my deal, and it isn`t like I do not get what I want- power, wealth, women etc.

If I serve him well, I am sure Emperor will make my dreams come true....for example Esgabath would love to become the governor of Tasker`s Crown one day- then he could get his revenge for the fact that he was unfairly banished and sentenced for death in case he ever returns, only because he wanted to remove his incompetent elder brother from power.... how very unfair. He was just ambitious and open-minded in regards to tradition.
