Lots of people are going to get rich; that's how the destruction of it works. If these people don't get rich then the money might actually get to the starving people.
For Sienar and the Jedi, it was a matter either of you falling to the Dark Side or him showing you the consequences of not doing so. Dead, Tavers does the first. Alive, he does the second.
So was there no way we were really going to win? Kind of a Kobayashi Maru (sorry, can't think of a better way to put it), where the point is not whether you win, but how you handle the situation. Just like I'm wondering if there's a way to 'win' our current rooftop situation. Seems like a carbon copy of the situation in Seinar's office. Go to the Dark Side or Lose your goal. With Ush controlling Gallagher's character now, I'm getting the idea that it's a lost cause, but I'm really trying hard with Andro to get him off the roof alive and on the Light side.
Travers is actually very evil person. He is not just greedy, he boasts about Sienar`s genocide plan! As a lawyer he should be more down to earth person, he seems to share part of Sienar`s madness. I quess this is what Corruption by dark side does to you.... (Still I don`t like how lawyers are supposed are usuallly bad guys in fiction, being lawyer myself).
