Sounds awesome. I'd love to drive up the coast. Must be a great view. I did a road trip coast to coast across the Southern States about a year ago. It was awesome. Even spent a couple of nights in San Diego.

We stopped in Portland, Oregon, on our way back from Washington. Oregon is possibly my favorite state for its greenery. Downtown San Diego is a little skimpy on trees; Portland is overflowing with them.

"Skimpy on trees" is exactly how I would describe San Diego yes! I'm a village gal myself so I'm all about the trees and the fields and the gorious peace and quiet (remembers why she now hates living in a noisy block of apartments in the city). Although I have to say any open space does it for me. The Grand Canyon and Monument Valley were right up my alley!

Will make sure I look you up if I ever find myself back in San Diego again though.

I went out my house once, Didn't like it.

I actually have been to neither of those places! I'm not very well traveled. I want to change that as soon as I can.

Sounds good to me! San Diego is in the desert, hence the lack of trees. We've had a pretty cool year, though; not too hot.

Yeah, that part blows unless you're somewhere awesome. Northern California is not awesome. It is nothingness.

Driving from Chicago to Yellowstone and back was pure hell. Nebraska is the most boring state ever to drive through.

I just like to go at night and drive as fast I can now. 😛

I get far too roadrage-y. Just going to and from work (a whole 10 minute drive) makes me want to kill most everyone else on the road 😛

I just like cruising at night on long trips cause there's hardly any traffic at all and push right through the big cities.

Hah! One of the interstates here will be just as backed up at 4am as at 4pm.

You want a boring state to drive through? Try Texas. The highways are perfectly straight and the whole damn state is flat as a table from horizon to horizon.

Texas and Nebraska are both boring.
Nebraska was a ***** though. Never going back to Nebraska.
